Nice hotel in the Mosel wine growing area

Situated in the wine growing village of Koewerich, on the banks of the Mosel river, this is a small lovely hotel with excellent hosts and a superb restaurant. It is well situated for Trier and Luxemburg. There is a wide range of tourist attractions in the area. The wine here is superb!

Be careful after 9pm

Friendly reception during the day. The rooms were unfortunately ice cold with no way of heating them.
When we returned at 9pm they were clear about closing everything at 21:30. Their range of grappas and local spirits stood in the guest area in from of the reception, but when we looked at them the owners told us to step back as "self-service" was forbidden. We weren't opening bottles, but just looking. No sign of positive customer service.

Driving the Mosel

We enjoyed our short stay very much. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and modern. The breakfast in the morning was plentiful and had a great selection to choose from. The area surrounding Kowerich is very picturesque with vineyards along the river with several swans. We would love the opportunity to stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone else.

Wonderful experience

This is a lovely hotel in a quiet little town. Our room was large and well appointed. The breakfast was excellent and served in the lovely dining room. We also had dinner at this hotel, and the food was exceptional. This is a great place to stay for relaxation and quiet.
The owners are a young couple. He is the chef, and he does not speak much English. He is very cordial and friendly. The dinner was one of the best we experienced on our trip. The presentation is beautiful and we had good wine suggestions.
The hotel does not have a lift but the stairs are marble and wide. The room was very nice and quite large with a view over the garden and beer garden. The room was $77E and dinner with wine and dessert was $71E. Parking and breakfast are included.
We were in the Mosel area on a weekend and the more touristy villages were booked. This little town does not have any night life, but we really enjoyed staying here.

Wonderful host's and great kitchen

We, my husband and I, only stayed one night at the hotel. But, we'll be back! Great service, wonderful food and wines, and spaceous room and bath.
Only to recommend.
Everything more than corresponded to the price. Very nice surroundings too, The Eifel mountains, with lovely "vignes", and a good entrance to Luxembourg and France.
