Great spot in Krefeld

Small family hotel, older style. The rooms are not large but very comfortable. The breakfasts are included and adequate. The staff are wonderful and always available to help. Transport links are great also with the trams stopping just out front. The room rate is very reasonable.
The hotel is not far from Castle Linn, the original centre for this area. The are many restaurants available close by.

Clean and friendly

Just passing through, I chose this somewhat old fashioned hotel. I chose this since everything in my price range seemed fully booked in Düsseldorf and the cheaper hotels in the area seemed quite bad. I was very pleased with "Alte Post". All staff I was in contact with were friendly and the price was good, both the rate itself and in the small self-serve bar.
Room was a little dated but clean and fulfilled all needs. Maybe a little too thin walls, but no big deal. Free parking and decent, typically German, breakfast included. I'd be happy to stay here again if I ever pass through Krefeld again.

Very good price / quality. Breakfast outstanding despite very few people in the hotel on sunday morning.
Nice rooms ( a bit aging like the elavator)
Do not hestitate to stay there when passing by in krefeld

Positive: big size of room; good size Bathroom; fast wifi; great bed and overall good value for money.
Negative: window view not great; TV Channels mostly in German language and Bathroom towel quality could improve.

Great Value, comfy bed and lovely breakfast

Perfectly located just out of the city centre but on a direct tramline so access to everything is really easy. We stayed here one night whilst visiting friends living locally. The room was on the ground floor with a view of the garden. The style maybe a bit dated, but everything was spotlessly clean and our request for extra pillows was fulfilled quickly and with a smile. There was no minibar, but there was a large fridge in the lobby containing a good range of drinks and snacks which was 'serve yourself' and enter your choices on an 'honesty card' with your room number on it in an adjacent wall rack.
Nice quite, comfortable night sleep and a lovely German style breakfast, cereals, yogurt, juices, excellent coffee cold meats and cheeses, breads and pastries. Eggs were available to order at no extra charge. Excellent value for money, I will definitely be staying here next time I am in Krefeld
