An incredibly nice environment!
Gave peace of mind and body.
When we came and checked in we got the information that the restaurant was closed - which meant that we had to go 80 min T/R for a sensible restaurant.
Thumbs down!
In the house we stayed did not reach the wifi which was another disappointment.
But it was clean and fresh apart from a little spiderweb in the closet. Very generous areas!
The “full spa” was a sauna that was not running!

Relaxing short trip to the countryside
We liked it all around, the estate has a good starting point for trips to Güstrow or Rostock.
It is beautifully located on the Hofsee, you have a pretty view of it when you go to the jetty, the rowboat lying there can be used free of charge.
Free parking in front of the house, very quiet location, the sauna area we did not use, but is available.
The check in was a bit rugged, but possibly the ladies had a lot to do because the reception was not staffed at first. The next day the same lady was then at breakfast but very accommodating and friendly. The rooms in the outhouse in which we stayed seemed a bit cool and without charm, so I would have imagined more pompousness for a manor house. Maybe the rooms in the main house are nicer. The windows were pretty dirty from the swallows , the bathroom and beds have been great, great shower!
The breakfast was outstanding - the check in was also super nice , we felt super comfortable.

Silence with a culinary surprise
Gut Gremmelin is a conference center, which explains the surprising quality of the kitchen.
Rooms are basic, clean and of good standard. No more or less.
You book your meals in advance, but do not worry: The chef(s) are skilled an talented and the wine list, although limited, present a good selection of german whites, reasonably priced.
Service staff is efficient and helpfull.
An overnight stay of high quality, off the beaten tracks.

Good hotel in a unique setting
Gut Gremmelin offers good, above average hotel experience regarding the rooms and amenities. But what it is really special is the unique setting in a gigantic, beautiful park with a lake and incredibly old trees.
During our stay just for one night as a stopover we enjoed playing in the park with the children, the excellent restaurant for dinner with very fresh, local food and a wonderful little tour of the place by the extremely friendly personnel.
