Super location with a very good price-performance ratio

I was the 2. Mal with a very short-term booking as guest. It all worked out great. Again I was received very friendly and really well
felt. The hotel is inside a beautifully renovated old town house with charm. The room was cozy and quiet. I could sleep very well (equipment of the room and the bed is new). I was impressed by the cleanliness of all rooms.
Also the shared bathroom (which 4 rooms share) is new and clean.
The rooms also have their own washbasin. As a result, there are no long waiting times for bathroom use. Taste the drinks from the vending machine.
The bakery for breakfast is just a few steps from the hotel. The room also has a small fridge.
The bus and tram stop is also not far away. You can also get to the city center very quickly without a car. I will be very happy to book again.

Objective, well-kept accommodation

Quiet, clean accommodation. We needed the room with the two single beds only as a "night camp" as we were helpers in a move.
Air-conditioned room, good ! The drain of the hand wash basin works, but needs a small repair, as the water drained very slowly.
The shared bathroom/shower is clean and comfortable; however, the shower curtain is somewhat "unfriendly" in this form, as it quickly "puts on" or "lays on" like a second skin.
What you need in addition, you get within a maximum of ten minutes walk. Good deal: at Schäfer's (Dresdnerstrasse; incidentally a 1a location for very good breakfast and baked goods) there is a second hot drink "for free" if you stay at the campus hotel.
Advantage: you can rent a parking space (in the area parking is very scarce or connected with a longer walk).
The philosophy of the house (sustainability, environmental compatibility, etc.) is gladly supported, including that of the school.
Check-in only possible from 4-7 pm; when moving we therefore had to "install" a detour only for check-in (would have preferred to come without a detour then only after 8 pm to the Space Hotel). At the reception one behaved somewhat brittle and humorless; one can hurt.
Review because of the only small (remedyable !) "defects" still with 4 points.

The hotel's philosophy is also unique, with an outstanding focus on ecological sustainability and perfected use of technological possibilities at the location, without straining valuable resources. A great example of how it is possible to protect the environment in a calm and intelligent way without sacrificing comfort as a traveler. The rooms are air-conditioned. You are also made aware of the fascination of space travel and research, unusual and extremely interesting. There is a rocket ready in the courtyard just in case.

The bedding is very good. Everything is very clean.
Neat decoration. Hotel well placed for visiting the city. Quality welcome. I recommend. For very affordable prices in this city where accommodation is expensive. Well done, keep it up!

Great experience! Hotel stay with a portal into space!

It is always very impressive what the hotel and institute offer and how they are developing. Work is being done here: on the future of humanity in space and also on the hotel.
Many rooms and bathrooms have now been modernized again, I had a TV, internet, refrigerator, sink and a comfortable bed. The noise of the big city stayed outside thanks to modern windows and I set the temperature myself. With the electronic locks, access is very easy everywhere. Many parking spaces have a charging station, so I was able to charge my car without any problems. There are supplies and shops around the corner, as well as the tram. So all the basics and a good night's sleep were taken care of.
Because it is a school hotel, rules are a little more important here than you might be used to. But if you are prepared to pay attention to the signs, you can have a good time here. I enjoyed my stay with enthusiasm.
The operators of the institute run the hotel with a high level of personal commitment and everywhere in the charming old building I encounter the latest technology, which is constantly being refined. Ralf, Yvonne and the student Cosma were happy to tell me about the courses for young people who build life-sized moon rovers, functional models of rockets and much more, and I was happy to be guided through the workshops, CAD laboratory and eco-energy center in amazement.
To particularly motivate the students, the institute takes part in the NASA Rover Challenge (HERC) in the USA with teams from Leipzig and other international locations, a unique experience for the students. Recently, trips to SpaceX rocket launches have been offered to anyone interested in space travel and my heart screams: I'm in!
So - sleeping quickly becomes a secondary matter here. Tons of inspiration, the spirit of Elon Musk and the founder Jesco von Puttkamer from NASA are tangible here. Quite a few lives have been permanently changed by a stay here, mine is one of them.
