Short vacation

Very nice hotel located directly on the beach. We had booked half-board and were very satisfied. The staff very nice and accommodating. The swimming pool and the sauna very clean. We liked it very much and would love to come back.

Unfortunately, our expectations were not met

Only the location can be rated as very good, as can the friendliness of the staff.
We were disappointed with the breakfast (baked rolls) and the evening meal, as well as the two meal times - you had to choose between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. - unbelievable for a hotel in this category and at these prices.
In addition, the hotel was far from fully booked at the beginning of July, during peak travel season, which speaks for itself.
We don't understand where the good reviews come from.

A great stay

We had a very good time and enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet. The large pool and sauna a's well as fitness club are great. The location direct on the beach is wonderful with great views aND private parking. We will come again.

Comfortable hotel in good location

The hotel is right on the beach, and our room was comfortable. The included breakfast was excellent. The decor is extremely dated - there was nothing particularly attractive about the look of the hotel. From the beach it did have a sort of classic charm. It was convenient being right on the beach, but it felt slightly expensive overall (1000 euro for 4 nights). The staff were helpful, and as a service they picked us up from the train station since we came without a car. Our loft room also had a nice balcony and a lovely sea view. It was quiet at night. We ate 3/4 dinners on site. The food was ok, but it was easier than trying to travel to other locations without a car.
We had a loft room, so our son slept in the lofted area. They did warn me that it was high, but this is a room suitable for kids who are good climbers. The ladder is straight up about 10 or so feet. I was a little nervous watching our 4.75 year old on it, but he was find and loved the novelty of climbing up to his bed.

Right on the beach!

We felt very comfortable at the Strandhotel. It was so close to the beach that we often went for an early morning hike along the beach before returning to a fine breakfast buffet.
The hotel's personnel were pleasant and accommodating.
