Great hotel in excellent location

We, two friends, spent a nice hiking weekend in the main house of the Panoramahotel and were completely satisfied. The location of the hotel is unique, our room with sea view was spacious, clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet is absolutely great and leaves nothing to be desired. We also liked to use the restaurant in the evening, the extensive menu had something to offer for every taste. The breakfast and restaurant area is really stylish and beautiful. The staff was always friendly, helpful and accommodating. Even the hotel manager personally intervened late in the evening to find a mobile phone charging cable for us on loan. Pricewise everything was reasonable, whether a parking fee of 5 euros per night is necessary, may decide the responsible. Considering the other costs, this is not significant, but seems a bit petty. Comparatively generous, however, the hotel's booking and cancellation policy.
We would definitely come back!

Culinary top, accommodation unfortunately a flop (price-performance does not fit)

I left the Panorama Hotel Lohme with mixed feelings. Here is my summary:
The positive:
The restaurant was absolutely first class. The food was excellent and the service there deserves great praise. Here the quality is definitely right.
The negatives (hotel & rooms):
Unfortunately, the property itself could not keep up with the gastronomy.
• Misleading photos: The online images did not correspond to reality. I had expected according to the description / photos with a well-kept, own garden compartment. I got a concrete area behind a bush – without gate or any privacy.
• Lack of cleanliness: That was the biggest criticism. Cobwebs hung all over the corners and the walls were dirty in many places. For a hotel of this price range, I expect a spotless room.
Conclusion:
If you just come to dinner, you're doing everything right. Unfortunately, it is not recommended to stay overnight (especially for the high price) because the cleanliness and exterior design of the rooms fall well short of the promises.

Not recommended

Today we ordered two dishes in the restaurant, the tarte flambée Mediterranean and spaghetti with seafood. We were very disappointed and upset as the tarte flambée was way too dry and the spaghetti completely unseasoned and also almost without seafood. We have returned the tarte flambée and got it re-prepared. But the result was not much better.
The price-performance ratio was not right in any way. For these prices we expect a good and tasty meal.

This is a classic art deco place with excellent views and accommodating service. Walks nearby along chalk cliffs and beach access (rocky beach). They offer an amazing breakfast spread, a smorgasbord really. Pricing is reasonable for the good quality you get. Dinner menu is varied and many items are very good, not all. Staff is professional and reliable. Good bus connections to beaches.
