The hotel was located in a great location for attending the Christmas market. The room itself was spacious and very clean and stay overall with excellent.

Hidden “additional costs”
Booked an apartment for 2 adults and 3 children online here with a friend for two nights. Unfortunately with an unsightly twist!!!
Were advised on arrival in conversation with the owner that the booking was so wrong, as the booked room was not designed for it and that we now have to pay for an extra bed 35€ per night.
Bar, of course. ( I was “nicely” offered to be able to pay by card and get an invoice for the additional price later.)
The owner presented himself very patronizing, as he was not allowed to set up the extra bed in the room and just so help us out of the predicament.
Attempts to contact the hotel to inform me in advance about the incorrect booking were not possible, as my contact details were allegedly incorrect.
To ask when our arrival time would be, however, a communication shortly before our arrival worked smoothly.
Strangely enough, when I had my contact details shown to me there was nothing left... my mobile number was extended by two digits and I didn't know the email address.
Trying to siphon money from two women with three children in this way is simply impossible

Not very convincing for me, unfortunately
Central location, unfortunately but a little loveless and not thought through. Bathroom without curtain, no soap in the shower, loveless and cheap soap at the sink, as in the station toilet, unfortunately the day before my overnight stay also no hot water in the morning, television station two 500, but unsorted. Otherwise clean and certainly spacious enough for family with small child

Poor poor poor
The Havana hotel as a location and structure would have nothing to envy to other hotels in Mainz, unfortunately a sin in any service made available to guests. The quadruple room would be large enough to hold 4 beds but consists of a double sofa bed and 2 pieces of furniture that I don't know how to describe except 2 low wooden boards with a very light padding, it was basically like sleeping on the floor. The room was very dirty, especially the bathroom where the shower curtain had very strange stains. For 3 days of stay we were provided with a roll of toilet paper.
