Nice place considering the price. Location is absolutely excellent, and check-in was easy with the info you get 5 mins before your check-in starts. Room was clean and had what we needed. Beds were very creaky and the mattress made you feel like you were laying in a sinkhole though. Fine for shorter stays, but I would not stay longer here if I wanted quality sleep. Bathrooms were fine, although sharing with others is always a gamble. They were clean and nice when I used them, but an hour later my cousin said someone had made a mess in one of the stalls that meant she had to use the mens room.
Overall a good cheap stay if you don't need luxury :-)

HORRIBLE PLACE

Rooms are abhorrent, cleaners nowhere to be seen, toilets are polluted with faeces and stains both inside and outside the toilet, on the walls and floors. Some may think that the low price may reflect lower quality, but the conditions of this accommodation are simply unacceptable. The rooms have no circulation, so enjoy your hot, sweaty, disrupted sleep, epitomised by the wooden beds that show visible signs of rotting, chewing gum stuck to the sides, and the thin walls and windows that conversations from three rooms across can be heard. 2-rent hostel Zimmer&Apartments is the worst accommodation I have stayed in my entire life, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Location is great, (one blick from Marienplatz) got email with code for front door and room key lock box, no problems.
BUT no toilet paper in the shared bathroom either day! And no room ventilation at all (window didn’t open and no AC)
Most inexpesive around, but its a low grade hostel

I am writing this to warn other travelers about the hygiene standards here. I ended up with over 30 bedbug bites during my one-week stay. Although the hotel relocated me and provided a 30% refund initially, the situation didn't improve as I kept finding new bites. When I contacted them again to discuss a full refund for the distress caused, they stopped responding entirely.
The lack of professional communication was disappointing. Beyond the bedbugs, the general maintenance is poor. Hair in the shower facilities remained uncleaned for the entire week, which makes me doubt their cleaning protocols. Even if this place fits your budget, the lack of hygiene and the anxiety of sleeping in a bug-infested room are not worth it.
