GOOD HOTEL TO START A TOUR OF GERMAN LANDS.
We have made a tour of Germany and it was the first hotel we were assigned. We stayed in Room 117 (Attached room photos, and views) from 29 to 30 March 2026 on a Bed and Breakfast basis. We could not enjoy the hotel much, as we arrived later than planned, but we found that, the room, even being very down and having the street so close where everyone spends, we had no problem in being able to rest what was necessary to face the early morning that awaited us the next day. The room is decorated and set with Cinema. It has a ceramic hob kitchen (We do not use it) It consists of 2 beds with the mattress quite comfortable and the pillows very very soft. The bathroom with bathtub, has very basic amenities, hand soap, gel, and shampoo. Hair dryer also available. But not much else. The views overlook the street and city. Although it is VERY FAR FROM THE CENTER, we could see that there are restaurants and places to drink very close to the hotel.
About breakfast, it is very good both in quantity and quality. We really liked it.
The staff, very very friendly, although they do not speak Spanish, and neither German nor much English, try to understand us and make themselves understood.
To all the staff of the hotel ESKERRIK ASKO for having everything very clean and having made us have a very good night giving us the necessary amenities for our start of the tour in German lands.
Parking is available.
Hotel 100% recommended.
About breakfast, it is very good both in quantity and quality. We really liked it.
The staff, very very friendly, although they do not speak Spanish, and neither German nor much English, try to understand us and make themselves understood.
To all the staff of the hotel ESKERRIK ASKO for having everything very clean and having made us have a very good night giving us the necessary amenities for our start of the tour in German lands.
Parking is available.

Vienna was nice with a good breakfast buffet
This Vienna House wasn't as updated as the one in Berlin, however it was nice with a good breakfast buffet. They had free laundry facility, we couldn't get the machines to work. This was a movie theme hotel.

Horrible experience
The City Hotel MAX Munich West, formerly the Vienna House hotel, was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in many years of travelling around Europe.
As soon as we arrived, the hotel sign was covered. We entered and asked if we were at the Vienna House hotel, which we had booked through the Booking app. The receptionist immediately said no, that we were at the wrong hotel. I gave my reservation name, and he said there was no booking under my name. In the end, it turned out he was wrong and eventually found the reservation. However, this already gave us a first impression of how the rest of the stay would be.
When we entered the room, I immediately noticed that the carpets were dirty and that there was no minibar or wardrobe. The air conditioning was also not working. In fact, the photos shown on Booking were not really consistent with reality. In other words, the room was a disappointment, but I still tried to overlook it.
At night, I requested two extra pillows. The staff informed me that there were no pillows available.
The next day, when I returned to the hotel, I noticed that the bed linen and towels had not been changed. The bed was completely unmade, the bathroom soap was empty and had not been replaced, and the trash bin in the room had not been emptied.
I called reception to request soap, and they told me I would have to go downstairs to pick it up myself.
I also asked reception for the bed linen to be changed. When I returned the next day, nothing had been done. So I went back to reception, and coincidentally the head of housekeeping was there. I spoke to him and requested proper cleaning of the room. To make things worse, I had killed a small cockroach in the bathroom and left it there to see if they would clean it. To my surprise, the insect remained in the room for another three days.
In addition, I was charged the wrong number of breakfasts. I only had breakfast 8 times, but I was charged for 12.
From what I understand, the hotel is undergoing a change of ownership. However, such a horrible experience is unacceptable in a city like Munich, with many other competitors. I will definitely return to Munich, but never to this hotel again. The staff are completely untrained and disorganized. The hotel has good infrastructure, but it is clear that the management is not making proper use of it.

Rooms: pleasantly furnished and large enough, with mini kitchen incl. fridge, with quite small TV
Sleeping comfort: good; good bed size at least for one person
Desk: ok, enough for a little work

Parking space: Dual parking in underground garage, extremely narrow, with larger cars a problem if you want to park correctly, with 25€ flat price no bargain

Location: directly on a larger thoroughfare, therefore road noise possible
Sleeping comfort: good; good bed size at least for one person

Never again!!!
Never again!!!! Mold in the bathroom (sink). A shower that was still wet. A couch that was completely broken ... cracks in the leather, a bed also with cracks. And a stench in the room... at night, you couldn't sleep because of the noise in the hallway.
