The rooms are a bit outdated, but very well-maintained and clean.
The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired.
The hotel is suitable for a short stay.

Great location meets horrific customer service
Such a shame to turn up to such a beautiful town and be met with what turned into an extremely unfriendly reception. Nothing but rudeness, hostility, aggression and at one point shouting and screaming about us. All before we got our room key! We asked her to stop being so rude or we would need to speak to the manager. She told us the manager wasnt there. After looking into the hotel more online, turns out she is the manager and it's run by the whole family.
By this point we pointed out that this was not great customer service; we'd been nothing but happy and polite on arrival and were only asking very reasonable questions regarding checking in. She then went off shouting and screaming to someone in the restaurant about us! We understand some German insults btw. Utterly unprofessional and also really distressing to hear.
Her aggression and extreme rudeness really upset not just us, but our daughter too, which is 100% unacceptable.
Stunning location, and sadly the hotel is really nice, but not worth being insulted for. It's a shame. If you dont like tourist, maybe don't run a hotel?

Basic room
There was no internet connection or TV connection as the signal had gone down which was not good. A good place to stay for one night !

An elevator would be needed...
Unfortunately, to reach the rooms from the side entrance of the pastry shop you have to go up at least 2 flights of stairs (in my case even three!) which are not easy with suitcases. We would need a lift or at least a small goods lift.
However, the rooms are very beautiful and well furnished, perhaps recently renovated. Good size and comfortable beds. The view over the roofs of the city is suggestive.
Good quality sleep even if unfortunately the church bell tower rings every quarter of an hour!
Friendly and helpful staff.
Excellent value for money.
