Ova seoska kuća prekrasna je 150 godina stara građevina s drvenim okvirima smještena uz golf teren, 6 km od centra Overatha. Altenbruecker Muehle nudi besplatni WiFi.

Tolles Ambiente in einer alten Mühle
Die Zimmer sind kleine Wohnungen. Unseres über zwei Etagen, mit Schlafzimmer oben und unten eine kleine Küche, Badezimmer, Sofa mit TV und Schreibtisch. WLAN kostenlos, genau wie die Parkplätze unter Carports. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Two couples reserved two units here for two nights in May 2008. A guest already there refused to leave so one couple had to stay at another hotel for the first night.
One couple had a very large room that was large enough to qualify as a studio apartment. The bathroom was large also. The other couple (after the first night) had a three-room apartment! There seemed to be permanent residents living in some units. The hotel has a restaurant and bar that is very active some nights. The was a special barbeque one night on a terrace outside one of our units. The noise went on into the wee hours of the morning. We slept OK by shutting some of the windows.
A nice breakfast was included. We had trouble with the TV but we didn't care much about that. I don't know if any apartments have air conditioning.
The hotel is about 20 kilometers from Cologne. We stayed here because we had trouble finding reasonable rooms in Cologne. We ended up paying 130 Euros per unit per night. This was more than we expected because the owner added VAT to our bill. This was a misunderstanding on my part when I booked the rooms through Booking.com. If I had to do it again, I would get a confirmed rate from the owner via email. All other hotels we used included VAT in the quoted rate.
The hotel was comfortable and the breakfast was good but I thought it was a bit overpriced.
By the way, there is an excellent restaurant nearby: HOTEL SUELZTALER HOF. Expect to pay 60 to 70 Euros per peson, including wine. I did not check into their hotel rooms but the quality of the restaurant would indicate higher quality rooms.

Wir haben 10 Tage in diesem Hotel verbracht.
Das Zimmer, bzw. Appartement ca. 100 m² groß.
Eine kleine funktionell eingerichtete Küche rundeten das Bild ab.
Somit konnten wir unser Frühstück nach eigenen Bedürfnissen gestalten.
Ein nahe liegender Einkaufsmarkt bot uns eine gute Einkaufsmöglichkeit.
Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön, großzügig und sauber. Und mit einem Übernachtungspreis von 60€ für 2 Personen in meinen Augen unschlagbar.
Selbst Leuten, welche sich in Köln bewegen wollen ist dieses Hotel zu empfehlen.
Eine Autobahnanbindung nach Köln ist gegeben und Köln in knappen 20 Minuten erreichbar. Das nicht zum Hotel gehörende aber in die Anlage integrierte Restaurant "Piemonteca" bot uns an dem Abend des Besuches ebenfalls gute Speisen
und hervorragenden Wein.
Alles in allem empfehle ich dieses Hotel weiter und bei Bedarf ist es wieder meine Wahl. Daumen hoch und weiter so!

Solide, großzügig, aber nichts für Gehbhinderte
Die Zimmer in der Altenbrücker Mühle (seit einiger Zeit werden die Zimmer nicht mehr durch den Restaurantbetreiber vermietet) in alten renovierten Nebengebäuden sind geschmackvoll und funktional eingerichtet. Die Betten (auch die Einzelbetten) überraschend breit mit guten Matrazen. Gefrühstückt haben wir nicht, da wir dies privat taten, aber es war Kaffee und ein Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer - in Deutschland keine Selbstverständlichkeit. Es ist etwas für Radfahrer und Wanderer als guter Ausgangspunkt durch das bergische Land. Empfehlenswert

Schlechtes Essen
Wir haben ein Familienfest dort gefeiert und uns wurden 3 Euro pro Person mehr abgerechnet als vorher schriftlich vereinbart. Obwohl wir es schriftlich mehrfach reklamiert haben, haben sich die Gastleute nicht gemeldet. Die Spätzle waren total zerkocht, die Kroketten schwarz und der Spargel total verwässert. Aber die Krönung war der "Eisbecher" eine halbe Kugel Eis mit 2 Beeren. Also wir nie mehr wieder. Und passt auf eure Rechnung auf.
