Fantastic friendly hotel

We stayed here at short notice having found our booked hotel to have limited parking.
The Hotel Heide Rezidence were extremely helpful and very accommodating.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Paderborn.
The owner is a very good host with a great local knowledge to recommend the best places to dine at and visit.

Hotel with weaknesses

The comfort room I booked in a quiet location was unfortunately on the main road and next to a busy bus stop.
Unfortunately there was no working fridge in the room. You couldn't buy any drinks anywhere in the building. The restaurant and bar are closed.
The website advertises a fitness room. That is also closed!! I find that very unfortunate!
The bread for breakfast was unfortunately dry, otherwise it was OK.
Why do the parking spaces cost €8.00??

Good price/value ratio

Slept one night at this hotel. Clean rooms, nice personnel. Very quiet location.
A bit old furniture, comfortable beds.
"Old school" hotel/motel.
Some of the rooms are in a flat near the hotel building.

Details to improve

We stayed to nights to attend a wedding organised in Paderborn, 1 km from the Heide Residenz. It is managed by a couple well organized and positive. We received the room 105 that we recommand: very large, comfortable and clean. Mattress was very soft. We were also impressed by the great breakfast: mixed fresh fruits very well prepared and a nice choice of cheeses and meat. We asked to repair the electricity issue in the bathroom: the spots above the basin did not work. It would also be nice to add a box of kleenex in the bathroom.

Close to Ahorn Sport Park, Paderborn.

Always a pleasure to come back to this hotel. its located west of Paderborn on an outlying area, it is a quiet community with 15 mins by car to downtown Paderborn or 30 by Bus. Very friendly staff, always willing to assist. The rooms are clean, and a pet friendly hotel. Breakfast buffet is good with all sorts of food variety for the customer's choice.
The evening can be spent at their bar area where Manager Achim serves the guest personally or if you come in a large group, they have a back area Varanda with grill to be used at your disposal. Large table area away from the other hotel guest.
If you sleep with windows open, you'll hear vehicular traffic which can take away much needed sleep.
Free parking available.
