Okay, but not blown away
The apartment itself was spacious, bright, and modernly furnished, but our impression of the building it is located in was rather poor. When you arrive at the property, you are greeted by a front garden filled with dead plants in rusty pots, ashtrays, old garden furniture, and laundry. It does not look inviting or cozy at all.
Inside, the stairwell could use a thorough cleaning, as there were a lot of cobwebs. The dishwasher was broken, and there was only a note apologizing for this. Of course, we can wash the dishes by hand, but the apartment is advertised as having a dishwasher, so perhaps some form of compensation should have been offered—a bottle of wine, for example.
We did not use the small balcony, but along the entire edge of the railing there were piles of animal droppings. It was really disgusting. Perhaps they were fresh and the host could not have done anything about them, but it was still unpleasant.
Overall, we had a perfectly fine stay, so these complaints are probably minor issues, but we were certainly not blown away.
