Very nice hotel with good service, great food and drinks and exceptional service.

They had both hot breakfast(scrambled eggs,sausage and bacon) and various cold items prepared early in the morning. Room was fitted with a mini bar refrigerator and mini canisters of nuts for very reasonable prices. Coffee was delicious! Water pressure was excellent too.

Hotel not fit for purpose - arrogant staff

Although my wife and I have stayed at this hotel previously (nice rooms, good restaurant), this time was a disaster. I needed to have early breakfast at 6:30 (the advertised start-time) as I had planned to check-out at 7:30 for an important appointment.
Not only was the breakfast room dark (with no light switch) but there was no one at Reception and no tables set or food already brought out.
Another hotel employee (i.e. not associated with breakfast) turned up at 7:25 and started to set up the breakfast room but this was without explanation or apology for the delay of almost 1 hour.
I duly checked out and requested that the Management should contact me as regards settlement of the bill for my overnight stay (having given my credit card details as a "booking guarantee")
When I returned home, I found an email informing me that my credit card had been charged (as it happens with an inflated amount) which was without my authority, in fact contrary to my explicit instructions. The sender again offered no apology and discourteously wrote to me with the female form of address (in German) despite the self-evident fact that I am and always have been male.
This hotel with its ill-mannered, dilatory staff is to be avoided.

Charming

Hotel located on a hill 5 minutes walk from the city center. Small paid parking lot on site and otherwise large paid covered public parking lot nearby.
This is a magnificent villa from 1920. Large bedroom, large shower, office, air conditioning. Cozy atmosphere. Two rooms for a copious and varied breakfast. Honey shelf (15 compartments): nice variety
The only downside is no elevator but wide staircase. Very nice home. An address to remember.

Overpriced and smelly

2 day trip to this town and hotel.
Booked hotel with breakfast for the duration. Fish restaurant closed for no reason, breakfast one day ok, second day reduced to just scrambled eggs, stail bread and a bowl of cold fruit cubes that spend definitely 2 days in the cooler. To be honest. disgustingly so.
Since the fridge in the room only contained bottles of booze and soft drinks, we had to use the “room service”. 2 small bottles of water and a can of instant coffee the tried to chart us €28. They also mangled €9 onto the final bill for this lousy breakfast that supposedly was included.
Room was ok and clean,bathroom was humongous, toilet seat loose, door lock broken with a sign” do not lock”.( how about repairing it instead?).
We left disappointed and won’t be back here. Did I mention the disgusting smell of sewage or whatever it is when you enter the building?
Seems normal for the operator…
