Another fantastic experience at this small, personal hotel in art deco style. The place gives peace of mind, and you always feel very welcome. Super service, surroundings, hosting and not least breakfast. Love it!

Art Nouveau pearl on the lake

Since we will not carry out our honeymoon until later, we wanted to choose a nice little hotel in the vicinity for the evening of our wedding.
However, we didn't think we'd come across such a pearl.
Villa am See is fully furnished in Art Nouveau style. Furniture, decoration and also the house itself are absolutely harmonious.
We had a nice, large room in the attic with views over the garden and the adjacent lake to which a small pier leads.
The room was also fully furnished with very nicely preserved Art Nouveau furniture and has left nothing missing. The bed was nice and large and has a pleasantly firm lying comfort.
The only drawback in the bedroom: we could not figure out how to open the window with the best will. Fortunately, we were able to let in enough fresh air through the living room.
The bathroom was big enough and in the shower immediately came hot water.
Everything was very clean and we were greeted very friendly at checkin.
The breakfast buffet gave away a lot and there were all sorts of regional and homemade.
Here the price-performance ratio was absolutely right for us and we can always make a recommendation.

A real gem.

This lovingly restored and furnished Art Nouveau house is a true gem.
Rooms are furnished with stylish furniture/antiques. The building services and bathrooms are modern and functional.
The location is just too fantastic with the lakeside garden. The garden with its own jetty invites you to swim or linger.
The warm director is the soul of the house. She conjures up a fantastic breakfast every morning with many homemade treats on the table and is a true hostess.
It is certainly worth staying a few days longer and exploring the beautiful surroundings. By train you are in 40 minutes in Lübeck, one of the most beautiful northern German cities.
We will definitely come back!

Juwel am Plöner See

This small family-run hotel with 9 rooms and 3 suites was a true home for us for four days in June and is exceptionally beautiful and engaging. Mrs. Kuhlmann, the owner and many times talented landlady, is a very warm and authentic concern to offer her guests with the support of her husband and son as well as six lovely maids from the village something special and a very effortless hospitality. It starts in the morning with all sorts of homemade delicacies for really every palate, selected dishes and beautiful, playful utensils and with the sustainable abandonment of disposable plastic packaging, goes beyond the furniture, lights and decor from the Founder and Art Nouveau period and successful own, tailor-made craftsmanship and a thoughtful equipment in the bathroom to the good beds, in which you can rest and slumber perfectly thanks to the sea air.
We are very enthusiastic about the warmth and charm of this house and convinced that we will return not only to Plön, but above all to this house - possibly with friends or family.
