Wonderful

Our room was very nice and spacious The breakfast every morning was very good and hearty.
The hotel and restaurant staff was outstanding, and very attentive to the guests. The location right there on the lake was absolutely beautiful. Looking forward to return again soon.

Wonderful place!

Seeklause Pension in Hintersee has an excellent location in front of the Lake.
The attention is impeccable and very attentive to any information you need and accompanied by a very good breakfast.
Hygiene rules are followed throughout the pension.
Seeklause Pension has a restaurant with excellent food and very good service... all this plus the perfect location make this place a magical place!
I personally recommend it!

Awesome local cuisine in a great location by the Hintersee lake

Note: this review is only about the restaurant Seeklause, which is a part of the whole pension (a type of B&B) establishment.
I would recommend anybody in the area to come for an awesome meal to this restaurant. The food is absolutely fanstastic, and it is a truly local cuisine - unlike a mass of other "wienershcnitzel & pommes" restaurants which dot the area.
This restaurant is a genuine article and you can have a taste of the local game prepared in most delicious ways - and at a prices which will not give you a heart arrhythmia. There were several of us and we tried a whole range of dishes - from game to fowl to fish - and every dish was awesome.
An absolute must visit, especially after a day spent trekking in the National Park Berchtesgaden - a great meal and a glass of local bear under a shade overlooking a lake and mountains. Bliss!

Wonderful place to stay!!

We stayed at the Gasthaus Seeklause Hintersee for 3 nights and we are delighted by the place. It's quiet and nice. We had a beautiful view to the mountain and the Hintersee lake every morning. The breakfast is a good start for the day. The owners are wonderful people and indeed, like they said, the hospitality is more than just a word. From my first contact on the phone with the owner, I knew that it is the place to stay in our trip in Bavarian. And I was right! Everything was perfect!

Even in the rain the views were gorgeous

My friends and I spent two days on the Hintersee at Pension Seeklause and although it rained, we were in no way disappointed. Lovely walks are to be had around the lake if you can bear to move off your balcony, and it is beautifully situated in the tiny out-of-the-way Ramsau area so that the only traffic you have to contend with are the cows and the occasional roller blader. There is an excellent restaurant on the premises which serves large portions of traditional Bavarian food. The rooms are spacious and accommodating and the views from the balconies outstanding. All in all you get a great deal for your money. Breakfast is also a cut above the usual. Your hostess struggles with English, but a smile will get you a long ways and she is very earnest in her efforts to please.
