The hotel was located conveniently for access into Mûritz National Park, especially by bicycle. The restaurant at the hotel had an excellent dinner. I was surprised when they did not give me the two story room, with the balcony, that I reserved and paid for. They also asked me to pay for my room a second time. They gave me a less roomy one story room, with no refund for the difference. I don’t know if these problems were caused by Expedia or the hotel, but it was a little unsettling.

Surprise!

What a lovely place to be. In the middle of fantastic nature. The first night I allready spotted a deer , 500 meters from the hotel.
Good food. Good room. Nice people. Enough space for us and our dogs. What more do you want?

Good food & informally atmosphere

Restaurant & Hotel Müritz-Park is located in Boek. At walking distance you find Lake Müritz. The menu is traditional German.
We choose Müritz-Park restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by easy atmosphere and no-nonsense food. Furnishings & decoration give it a casually character. In summer days the terrace adds to ambiance. Service is adequate and friendly.
We went for a classical German course and beer. Food is familiarly presented and tasty. Müritz-Park is a true value for money restaurant. We recommend Müritz-Park restaurant to anyone who seeks of food accompanied by a good glass of beer in an informally ambiance.

Lovely, well presented hotel. Nice cosy apartment. Nice rural setting.

LOCATION
Nice rural setting around a village green. Quiet area and easy to park outside hotel. Muritz Lake is walkable from hotel and there are bike and hiking trails. You can also drive your car most of the way to the lake and park and walk the rest.
ACCOMMODATION
We stayed in a small cottage away from the main hotel building. It was impeccably clean and cozy, with nice bright décor. Open plan living/Kitchen area. Kitchen was well equipped. Bedroom was in the loft space, up a rather flimsy spiral staircase which could be difficult for those with mobility issues. Small seating area outside.
HOTEL/SERVICE
The hotel was very nicely presented. Generally the staff did not speak very good English, but I get the impression not many British people visit the area and we really should have learnt a bit more German! They were friendly though, and the manager spoke the best English and we managed to get by.

The hotel does not take most of the major credit cards, so more options would be good. They did tell us this in advance though, so we paid in cash with no issues.
