Modern hotel in the best location – breakfast leaves room for improvement.
We spent one night at the Penta Hotel Rostock and overall had a pleasant stay. We particularly liked the central location – many attractions, restaurants, and shopping options are easily accessible on foot.
Our room was pleasantly spacious, modernly furnished, and very clean. We were also impressed by the modern amenities in the bathroom. The hotel bar invites you to linger in the evening and creates a relaxed atmosphere.
We were less impressed by the breakfast. The breakfast room was very crowded and correspondingly loud. The staff was attentive, but they struggled to keep up with clearing the tables and replenishing the buffet. Additionally, we found the selection and quality of the food to be rather simple and not quite in line with the hotel's level.
Overall, we would book the hotel again due to its location, beautiful rooms, and pleasant ambiance – next time, however, without breakfast.

Failed
Condition of room 424 and cleaning insufficient. The lighting of the hotel poor, arrived in the evening, hallways darkly lit in the room dark could find the card slot for light only with cell phone light. No wardrobe just simple bar ,everything hangs and lies open in the room. Sink chipped,shower dirty, sink.
There was dirt and capsules from the previous tenant in the coffee machine, who knows how long.
With the gap dimensions of the door I could not lock it from the inside. The safe from the back with 2 screws detachable from the wardrobe. TV remote control without number buttons so no channel selection above, first other button and then scroll. Five more days!

There is room for improvement
The arrival was an adventure - no indication of a parking garage, which is accessed in a completely different way. Never book on the 5th floor, as you can walk your legs off to get to the room, not to mention breakfast. Breakfast is okay, everything was available! Room service only upon request. Air conditioning difficult to regulate.

On the page - it looked like an old Nice hotel. When we arrived it was the most sad glasbuilding with the hotel over a crowded entrance bar. We slept in this that showed up to be a mall next morning.
The breakfeast was ok - but you cant sell this concrete mall with at picture of and old nice hotel .... Thats bad!!

Ignorant staff
Staff did not respond to my concerns regarding my issues. A room that was promised to be quiet turned out to be a room between the elevator and the breakfast room. Right next to the room is a foosball table and a pinball machine.
The staff does not respond to my concerns. Only after I contacted Booking.com was I granted a goodwill credit from their side. The hotel has waited out the problem. Company policy???
