Always good!

If you ever need to get some traditional and some modern food I can recommend visiting this place! The food is fresh and there's a good amount of choices and also a daily menu. They have Hofbräu Traunstein Hefeweizen - amongst other choices - which is one of my personal favorites. Make sure you reserve early. They have a nice "Stuben" if you want more privacy and also outside seating with a perfect view of the lake. Parking is free of course.

Unfriendly staff, bad food and a very bad vibe

On arrival our Reservation was not found. All tables free, but the staff just looked unkind. No hospitable welcome and the offer that there will already be a table. In the totally empty restaurant we got another table. That was a mistake, but we were hungry. The capriccio was unseasoned cold meat with bad Parmesan cheese. Inedible. The char in the old frying fat fried to death. Canned salad drowned in ready-made sauce. Terrible. Service was clearly glad we left after an hour. Mood in the entire restaurant as in the retirement home. Nobody laughs at the waitress. They don't have a good vibe with each other either. Very striking and noticeable to the guest. So there are a lot of better restaurants on Lake Tegernsee. Just living on the name is no longer enough. Never again!

Quaint Bavarian guesthouse

I was lucky enough to visit Rottach-Egern, Lake Tegernsee specifically, for work. We stayed at this guesthouse and had a great experience. The women dress in traditional Bavarian clothes and the rooms are quite sweet. They are filled with locally made wooden furniture and for a guesthouse they are quite large. In fact, one of our group was in a separate flat altogether with a bedroom, bath, full kitchen and large living room with a banquette and table that would seat 10 or so. The staff was very nice and responsive. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is one of the rooms was apparently over top of the hotel's main refrigeration system and it was quite noisy and even vibrated the floors a bit, making sleep not come easily! I hope to get the chance to return!

Schlechtes Hotel, schlechtes Frühstück, Zusagen werden nicht eingehalten

Schlechtestes Hotel am Tegernsee mit unglaublichem sehr einfachen Frühstücksbüffet. Zusagen werden nicht eingehalten, unser gebuchtes Zimmer im Hotel wurde in eine Ferienwohnung ca 600 Meter weiter vom See verlegt. Chef ist sehr arrogant und hat es anscheinend nicht mehr nötig (geerbtes Hotel laut Homepage) sich um Kunden zu kümmern. Man fühlt sich von Anfang an an einfach nicht willkommen. Der Hintereingang des Hotels sieht sehr schäbig aus. Oft steht die Tür offen ist für jeden zugänglich. Sicher fühlt man sich da nachts nicht. Laut früheren Rezensionen hat man anscheinend stark nachgelassen. Es gibt viel bessere Hotels am Tegernsee, die sich noch um Gäste bemühen

Zusagen werden nicht eingehalten, schlechtestes Frühstück ever

Nicht zu empfehlen, die Zusagen werden nicht eingehalten. Statt im Hotel haben wir ein Zimmer in der weit vom See entfernten Ferienwohnung bekommen. Desinteresse und Arroganz bei der Geschäftsleitung Herrn Thomas H. Als Gast ist man nicht unbedingt willkommen, das Geld nimmt man gerne. Man hat es halt nicht mehr nötig. Schlechtestes Frühstück das ich jemals in einem Hotel bekommen habe. Jede einfache Pension bietet mehr. Schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, es gibt viel bessere am Tegernsee. Hier sieht man mich nicht mehr
