Super spot if you have to stay in Rottweil
Rottweiler gave its name to the eponymous dog.
This hotel has good-sized rooms, with air conditioning, which is rare.
Lovely courtyard for the restaurant too. Decent food there.
Decent prices for the room. A word of warning though re food. German seems to have two variations: cheap kebabs. pizza and then anything with a tablecloth and knife and fork is more Swiss prices. 24 EUR for a very average sized, though good, chicken cesar
We stayed because there was a concert on at the local Kraftwerk.

Nightmare
Booked 2 nights from 23.03 -25.03. The 2. Night was a nightmare.
Due to renovations, drilling continued in the evening between 8 and 8:30 p.m. directly below my hotel room. I complained to the reception. The receptionist then went to the kitchen where the renovations took place. Came back with the words that you had to drill a bit further, it would only be a shelf to attach.
So no understanding at all, which makes you feel bothered as a guest by drilling at this time. I insisted on stopping work immediately. Now the managing director (Mr. Tobias Maier) came along and after some discussions and a terse apology, said that you would quit immediately.
Unfortunately not, it was not drilled anymore, but now hammered until 22:20. I complained again and announced a deduction of 20% of the price for the overnight stay. In short, in the morning on payment, the CEO rejected the 20% cut, - now it's getting funny - and supposedly called the police saying: "I have a hotel guest here who doesn't want to settle the score." So you have experienced something like this before, it is and remains unique and unstoppable.
In the end he walked away and says to the receptionist, "Let him pay what he wants." I paid as advertised.
Conclusion: A hotel whose manager treats his own guests without respect and understanding is not worth a visit, not a single night!

Pleasant stay
It was fine, so far. That the room was a bit cumbersome to reach, given (but could be mentioned in the description on the Internet.). For that it was nice and quiet and the bathroom big enough. The restaurant is newly renovated and very nice, we did not eat there because the menu was very limited due to a kitchen conversion. With the service, however, you could put a dash of friendliness on it. When we were leaving, an elderly couple came to dinner and said they had made reservations, they were told the restaurant was closed for the conversion that day. Dot and done. Wouldn't have been so hard to apologize (no matter if it was right with the reservation), give them another restaurant recommendation, ask if you should call there about a table, say when the conversion is ready and hope they will come back. I work in the service area and would have liked to give the actually nice receptionist a push that this could be better. This is the step from a good hotel to a very good one.

Delicious breakfast with lots of organic and high quality ingredients.

Chic in old. Top
Modern oriented in old walls. Great. Clean, friendly staff. Great breakfast, lots of fresh, no small packs, sustainable and regional. Also top for vegetarians and vegans. Value for money top. Rooms partly at least accessible! Great. Nice and appealing conference rooms and common areas. Great restaurant (extra review). Accessible in the middle of the old town by small streets. Parking nearby for 6€/d very ok.
