However, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the rooms..it's really clean and the beds are comfortable.
I would not recommend a weekend away here, but it's a comfortable place to stay overnight and not far from Goslar.
The owner is really nice as well.

Let me give examples:
There is a thick layer of dust on images on the wall, sleeves and plants on the stairs.
The room has spilled spots on the wall that have run down.
The wallpaper sits in laser and loose under the window and has gone away in collections in several places.
Foot lists are very dirty of dust and with unknown spots.
There are used beige blankets under our sheets, and the mattresses have yellow shields.
Even folders about the local dining on the counter at the reception were dusty and greasy to touch.
There hangs a powerful smell of Asian food and enclosed on the whole hotel and room even though the window was open when we arrived.
The only positive thing was that the bed linen and towels are clean as well as the breakfast was ok for the price.
I will not recommend others to book a night, even if it is cheap.
Had we not booked in advance, we would have turned around when we opened the front door.

Perfect for a stayover.
The hotel is a bit outdated, but our room was renovated. It was spacious, nice and very clean.
Good breakfast, nothing fancy but a bit of everything.
Friendly staff that quickly sorted out a misunderstanding in the booking. The owners speak good English
