Unfortunately, the hotel does not meet the expectations one may have at this price.
The double room is far too small, has no air conditioning, and was not even cleaned daily – a condition we find completely inadequate. We travel a lot and have not experienced anything like this in any hotel so far.
Particularly disappointing was the reaction at the reception: When we inquired why the room was not cleaned, we received the unfriendly response that we should have explicitly stated that we wanted daily room cleaning. For us, this is incomprehensible, as daily cleaning has been standard in every hotel and every country we have traveled to so far.
We would like to highlight the pleasant ambiance on the 10th floor, the excellent food at dinner, and the extraordinary friendliness of the bartender at the Base Bar. However, these positive impressions unfortunately could not compensate for the serious deficiencies in the room and service. Whether these few bright spots are enough to compensate for the otherwise questionable standard of this establishment in the long term seems more than doubtful to us.

Unsatisfactory.

I have been to the Rügen Hotel very frequently and am increasingly disappointed. The staff is mostly very friendly and the view of the Baltic Sea is fantastic.
However, the rooms facing the sea heat up tremendously and there is no sun protection from blinds, which is urgently needed in the summer. Also, the curtains do not block enough light and heat.
The breakfast offerings have become slimmer each time. The worst are the rolls, which used to always be crispy. If the hotel management thinks that guests will eat less, that may be true, but perhaps not for much longer. No ham or fresh omelets, just everything more than simple. Orange juice is more plastic than healthy. Breakfasts at the hotel with friends should bring more enjoyment and joy. Given the high prices, more comfort would be appropriate. No refrigerator in the room, no kettle. That is inappropriate.

Kurhotel Sassnitz is very good.

We felt comfortable at the Kurhotel.
Some suggestions for improvement:
A refrigerator and a luggage rack, as well as brighter lighting, could be helpful in the room; also, a vending machine in the building.

Great vacation.

We had a wonderful vacation at this hotel. The room was clean and the view from the window beautiful. Breakfast is delicious and varied. The staff is polite and available to help and answer any questions. We would love to stay at this hotel on our next trip.
