What a great experience!
All in all very attentive and facing the guest, although we arrived at short notice, we got a suite, and a table was reserved for the evening ( Monday is otherwise all day off ). I have lived there 37 years ago and am impressed that they have invested great. Many thanks to the manager, Mr. Thielemann, who had to handle the service and reception alone on the day, but was charming and helpful at all times. Warm greetings from Leipzig Anke & James Dourish

Wasn't neat
Location was good for us. But a very unfriendly staff member at check-in later helped by another lady who was correct. Getting to know the real people behind the hotel when you check out. We had booked 1 night for €136.70 but at checkout we were told that the internet price was wrong and it was now €170 and that was made very clear to us, it was also told you have booked with credit card so if you do not pay now we will charge that €170 anyway. So we were just unlucky.
There is no point in objecting because now they do not respond to any messages. So think very carefully before booking here.

Nice hotel
Nice hotel. The double room was very spacious, the bathroom is small but beautifully designed. However, for people who have a higher weight, the shower is likely to become too cramped. It is very small and triangular, at least in our room.
What bothered us was the frosted glass window from the bathroom towards the beds. Certainly an advantage in the day, as it can save electricity, but at night people with light sleep are awakened by the bright light. Sleeping glasses are then attached.
Located on the narrow main street of the village, rooms to this side are likely to catch the traffic - especially with the windows open - more. Our room, which was quite far back on the courtyard inside, was with closed windows - since minus degrees - not affected by this at all.
A sheet from the bed could not be pulled smoothly, the mattress did not allow it, it creased, ergo the sheet looked as if it had not been made.
An adjustable slatted frame would have been desirable. This bed frame is designed differently and unfortunately did not correspond to what we are used to, even the pillows were not really comfortable, but all just subjective perceptions.
The breakfast was very good, the staff are friendly. A smile for the guest should be a given. Not so good mood, which is reflected in the face is human, but does not go down so well.
For the dog was put a bowl with "placemats" and a written note where to walk in the village near, which we found very accommodating.
We cannot rate the rest of the food - except breakfast - at the hotel, as we prefer Italian restaurants. We were advised on arrival to reserve a table at the hotel better, as probably well attended. When we went to the Italian in the evening and came back afterwards, there were still places available in the evenings. If you want to be sure, reserve.
In any case, an excerpt from their menu can be seen in the elevator.
Unfortunately, I forgot my pillow at the hotel, which should be sent to me nicely. Since I didn't get the cost of it, I asked again and was advised that if you knew the amount, you would get in touch. Since I still didn’t have this after almost a week, I asked again. It was apologized and that you would not have any employees "for this" (probably in terms of taking a package to the nearby post office if a guest had forgotten something) on the 6th is again a holiday and I should transfer 20 euros for it. Unfortunately, no information here when the pillow will definitely be delivered to the post office. Since I was only told the IBAN and not the recipient and our bank could not assign the logical recipient data we entered to the IBAN, I asked again and also commented on its procedure and my view on it.
In response, the only thing left to say was that they did not want to go into more detail and only told the recipient of the bank account.
I then gave up my pillow.
Fair conclusion:
A nice hotel with very good breakfast, spacious double room, quiet side location, dogs allowed.

Solid hotel with good Service and clean room
A hotel that delivers on its promises. Smooth check-in, even at late hour still helpful staff. The room was clean, spacious and pleasantly quiet – perfect for a restful night. I was particularly impressed by the breakfast: fresh rolls, homemade spreads and a great selection of hot food. The entire stay seemed professionally organized without being impersonal. You can feel that guests here are not a number, but welcome.
