A nice little hotel, but the breakfast was a joke.
Several guest where just standing around wondering where the food was.

Service deficiencies, in need of cleaning and renovation
It is a masterfully renovated historical building ensemble in the center of the World Heritage city. Completely crooked, creaking floors, poor sound insulation and long waits for warm water are priced in and quickly warped. However, the rooms are already somewhat in need of renovation.
The windows have not been cleaned for quite some time (2011?), so a view is hardly possible. After all, the windows are open and the street is quiet. Unfortunately, the air conditioning is automated and not sufficiently controlled by the guest, in October the room was completely overheated for unknown reasons. The fact that the insolvent operating company at prices above 200 EUR (junior suite) trickily also saves on room cleaning is simply bold. In the booking process and at check in this is diligently not mentioned, the guest later finds a note in the room that would only be cleaned every 3 days.
There also seems to be no money for urgently needed new towels.
A bright spot is the very good breakfast with eggs to order and at least there friendly staff.

We will not come back
First of all, we did not get the booked category. Instead of a junior suite we got a bigger double room.
The floor of the room was completely sloping, very uncomfortable to walk to.
The hot water in the bathroom only came after a long time, you stood naked in the shower and had to wait a long time for hot water.
The dinner included in the reservation was unfortunately not good! Instead of the soup on offer, we got another one, and dessert didn’t match what was on the menu – and it was inedible.
For breakfast there was no orange juice, which is otherwise a standard in other hotels. A very modest buffet was set up.
In short: This is not a four-star hotel!!! I would never book a room here again.

Unsere fünf historischen Gebäude aus verschiedenen Jahrhunderten weisen eine Vielzahl architektonischer Besonderheiten aus, darunter auch nicht ganz gerade Fußböden in einigen Zimmern - die übrigens alle unterschiedlich sind.
Schade, dass Sie von Ihrem Restaurantbesuch so enttäuscht waren. Vielleicht haben Sie die Gelegenheit genutzt, direkt vor Ort unser Team über Ihre Hinweise zu informieren? Das wäre großartig und hilfreich, um Sie als Gast doch noch glücklich machen zu können.

Old hotel, dirty, with cobwebs on the two windows of the room, tiny and low room, no air conditioning and very expensive. Breakfast like that, rude persinal, the lady. We do not recommend

Das Romantik Hotel Scheelehof besteht aus fünf Gebäuden aus verschiedenen Jahrhunderten, beginnend mit dem 14. Jahrhundert. Aus Gründen des Denkmalschutzes durften die historischen Fenster nicht verändert werden. Daher gibt es z.T. auch kleinere Fenster in einem ehemaligen Kaufmannshaus.
Das Vorkommen von Spinnengewebe ist aktuell wirklich eine Herausforderung. Nach einer Reinigung sind diese innerhalb von Stunden wieder an der gleichen Stelle. Das Housekeeping wird noch mehr darauf achten.
Für ein unhöfliches Verhalten einer Mitarbeiterin bitten wir an dieser Stelle um Entschuldigung. Das sollte kein Gast so empfinden.

Do not book via booking
Do not book through booking!
Sorry, the booking could not be found in the system. I guess that happens more often than not, according to reception. It was clarified, important: We had the booking documents ready, yet the room was not prepared (the water bottle was missing).
Whether this was our booked room we can also not understand, because after a long journey we no longer felt like asking and fell into the cozy bed. The room was large, so plenty of space!
Too bad: we had also requested our booking directly by mail, but it was much more expensive.
Breakfast and dinner was good with nice selection. You're asked to name the breakfast time, that's good. Then planning can be done. Coffee is immediately possible, has been prepared. Cappuccino etc. Is available on demand, however, was generally busy and it took correspondingly long.
Download me eauto: Hotel is advertised as Tesla charging destination. Costs then 5€ per hour. Loading places are cheaper in the area and in terms of space it only makes sense to load there with a small car. (Tesla too big) Otherwise, the back of the car will stick out on the sidewalk.
Parking: Parking garage nearby (charging stations have been blocked there by not eauto) ATTENTION: this closes at 10 pm! For late arrival: not suitable.
Sauna: good
Cleaning: only every 3 days, ok for us. However, this was nowhere before. Tip: we have taken towels from the sauna area
I would book the hotel if the hotels around it were more expensive/sold out. We have also been to other hotels in Stralsund. Stralsund is worth a trip and you are super fast on Rügen. Be sure to check out the summer toboggan run in Bergen on Rügen:!!

Es kommt tatsächlich ab und zu vor, dass eine Reservierung von einer Online-Buchungsplattform nicht in unser System übermittelt wird. Wie in Ihrem Fall gibt es schnell eine Lösung vor Ort. Nur der Vollständigkeit halber sei erwähnt, dass die Buchung immer jeweils für eine Zimmerkategorie erfolgt, nicht für ein bestimmtes Zimmer - es sei denn, man gibt bei der Reservierung schon ein Wunschzimmer an :)
Die Information zur Zimmerreinigung befindet sich auf einem extra Aufsteller im Zimmer. Auch wir als Hotelgruppe fühlen uns dem Thema Nachhaltigkeit verpflichtet. Daher führen wir eine automatische Reinigung nach der 3. Nacht des Aufenthaltes durch - auf Wunsch des Gastes auch gern täglich. Eine kurze Information an der Rezeption genügt...
Vielleicht dürfen wir Sie bei Ihrem nächsten Stralsund-Besuch wieder bei uns begrüßen - uns würde es freuen.
