Relaxation on the edge of the Thuringian Forest
We spontaneously wanted to spend a few days relaxing (hiking, sauna, swimming) in Thuringia. The hotel is on the outskirts and offers a small swimming pool and two saunas. Unfortunately, the bathroom is not always usable, as an external provider uses the indoor swimming pool temporarily for applications. However, you can use the public leisure pool Tabbs for free every day. This is only 5 minutes away. Also the journey by forest railway to the cradle of the European royal houses , the residence city of Gotha is possible free of charge.
We had HP booked and were very pleased with the breakfast and dinner. Also the rooms were nice and clean. From clairvoyance of the rooms (as others wrote ) we did not notice anything. The price/performance ratio we found to be very good.
The staff is very friendly. At the reception we were greeted very friendly. The staff was very helpful and helpful. We liked to end the evening in front of the wood-burning fireplace at the entrance, but we got into very good conversation with Mrs. Friede from the reception and learned a lot. Bad Tabarz is also suitable for walks as a health resort below the large Inselberg. For us it was relaxing, beautiful days . We will definitely visit this hotel again.

There is a truth on the website and also a truth on the spot
I stayed at this hotel with a friend.
It should be known to the staff and owners how clairvoyant the whole building is.
I wonder how rooms can be rented out that are located between the reception and elevator and no acoustic measures are taken towards the hallway. It's really too loud, and way too loud. Charging guests for these rooms is an absolute boldness.
We stopped the stay completely tired. Three days in the Burgholz Hotel, should be relaxing for me and my girlfriend, reading, relaxing and walking in the woods.
This is very difficult with such a soundscape and the resulting lack of sleep.
Everywhere you look, “first class to feel good about”
But then... let the pictures do the talking
I don't have to comment on the photos of the bathroom or shower.
(By the way, the radiators are set to heat energy efficiently, starting at 18 degrees. Stupid is only if the towels on the designated radiator therefore remain soaking wet.)
An empty cabinet in which the minibar was placed,
ceiling lighting in the room,
a room towards the restaurant, with desks and bookshelf, (What is this supposed to be and why not make something beautiful out of it? For example, a nice office that you can book if you need to work, or just a retreat to read)
Ancient furniture by a glass facade
(this could be one of the most beautiful places in the whole hotel in no time),
the always the same and unnecessary, parked furniture in the corridors,
and then there are sticky leaves on doors, which threaten in writing with a complaint in case of violations, or are written in red with tens of exclamation marks. (which one shouts with exclamation marks in writing, one apparently does not know here).
All this, is the complete keyboard of the lovelessness and accent hotel, obviously stands for “accentuously renovated”.
Feel good Misrepresentation
As we stood at the reception, a lady asks for a towel for the sauna. First class answer: “There are no more.”
Finally, the positive things.
Nobody was rude.
The outdoor facilities are very well maintained, on the order of magnitude certainly not easy to trade.
The restaurant is the first step in the right direction in terms of equipment.
It should be known to the staff and owners how clairvoyant the whole building is.

Fasting in Thuringia
During Holy Week we spent a week hiking here. We felt very comfortable. Rooms clean and tidy. With a beautiful view. Location of the hotel is great, on the edge of the forest. The service good. Sauna and swimming pool invited you to relax. And Tabarz is a great place.

Big hotel with free parking. Free breakfast in the restaurant was a definite plus with many options. Indoor swimming pool was nice also

Disappointed compared to the last visit
Received by a stressed receptionist at 1:30 p.m. The room we found to be very small and so was the bathroom. For one night but endurable. Unfortunately they could not use the pool on that day as it was kept free for treatments from 3 to 8 pm. Positive two hour stay free in Tabs. There was also no welcome mineral water and for 4.30 € that is already fierce the bottle for the hotel guest. The breakfast was very poor compared to the last visit about two years ago. And the cake buffet or the offer in the afternoon also left a lot to be desired. The staff seemed to be very often annoyed and you felt a bit uncomfortable as a hotel guest or as a necessary evil.
