Relaxing holidays in wonderful nature

The facility is wonderfully located. The rooms, depending on the type , simple but cozy. The entire environment is designed with a lot of understanding of nature. The entire staff is incredibly friendly, courteous, helpful, professional and very welcoming. You can feel an incredibly positive corporate culture here that translates into people who do their job with joy and great commitment and who all pull on the same rope. The kitchen also appealed to us very much. Thank you for a wonderful holiday week.

The Haffhus Hotel & Spa is a great host and one of the most sustainable hotels in Germany.

Enjoyable stay

I must preface this review by saying that as a foreign guest with quite different hotel experiences, I will try to put my review in context. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and easily reached. The reception was friendly and professional. The room was large and not uncomfortable. It had a spacious bathroom with a large walk-in shower, which I appreciate, and what was for me surprising a window you could actually open. The room had a small refrigerator as I remember as part of the little kitchen, so an extended stay would be quite nice here. The bed was typical European for me, which means it is low to the ground and the mattress more on the firm side. There was a table with four chairs for taking in a meal or playing games, etc. The back had a door leading to the porch with direct access to the grassy area and a few steps further the beach. We only stayed two nights, but it was wonderfully peaceful and serene.
Our rooms came with breakfast and the buffet was alright. I have had better assortments and varieties of offerings, but all-in-all it was not bad and what we had was very good. You can eat your breakfast inside or outside on the terrace. We did not try the restaurant for other meals and we did not try the pool.
It was nice enough that I will plan a future vacation here and can definitely recommend the Haffhus.

Decent experience

Spent a night here during the summer of 2012.
Hotel is ok, seems fairly new.
Rooms are ok too, all clean, but the extra "touch" to all this is unfortunately not there....
During dinner, we asked for wine, and the answer was "red or white"?
There was a wine menu, I saw it, and a decent wine fridge, saw it too.....
Next morning, breakfast on the pretty roof terrace in nice weather, but still, that extra touch is missing. It was a VERY standard breakfast ( all ok ), but I would like to see a real coffee machine, decent orange juice and something nicer from the sea than that can of tomato makrell...
Going back? Well, I wont kill to go back, but I wont stay out either. A clear "three out of five".
