It really doesn't get any better!

Everything just fits. Incredible, but true! From the perfect beds - not badass but above all not soft! - to the very tastefully restrained room, to the small but fine bathroom until breakfast! The filter coffee: perfect. Homemade jams and chocolate spreads, honey from the local beekeeper, sausage from the region, cheese from Tölz, homemade spreads (the pea cream is amazing!!!! :D), of course everything for the cereal; fruit and great bread, bread rolls and pretzels (!!! are a must!). Nice would be small bread baskets for the table, that's my only suggestion.
The team is totally friendly and very helpful.
And then the inept guests go to the three-course dinner in the evening. This is, undisclosedly, absolute top cuisine. We haven't eaten this varied, g'tasty, fresh and surprising in a long time. So the food alone is worth the trip.
We would love to come back!!!! :D
oh: and that the rooms are all without TV is great! Not a single minute did we miss him.

Very good accommodation option

Walchensee is a small village by the lake, and therefore I did not find many accommodation options, but I think it is a good place, something expensive for one person, but I think that in couples it must be more economical.
The village is small so everything is close, you can walk part of the lake and you can go to the cable car station easily walking. There are also several restaurants nearby.
The place has all the basics, heating, hot water, good internet, breakfast included, and the staff is very attentive.

Beautiful overnight stay with delicious food directly at the Walchensee

We spent a night with half board in the Wallerei. We had a small double room with terrace, it was very quiet. In the evening we ate the 3-course menu in the restaurant. It was very delicious. Breakfast was very varied, delicious spreads made by ourselves, cheese and sausage come from local producers. The owner and the team are very nice. We are happy about this beautiful accommodation on Lake Walchensee and will gladly come back.

Friendly, welcoming, comfortable.

Made for a wonderful few days in the Walchensee area. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. The limited menu satisfies in what they specialize in: good, regional, fresh food.
There are other nearby restaurants if you’re looking for other varieties (like local Walchensee Renke).
Breakfasts were typical Bavarian fare, hearty, filling, not excessive.
Great hiking in the region and of course swimming is available immediately in front for the brave.
Walchensee is an easy drive from München provided you’re okay with hairpin curves; otherwise best to drive via Garmisch.
