For one or two nights in order

Accommodation in the lower middle class area on the edge of Westerland with good connections by bus stop two minutes walk from the property.
Pros: neat mattresses, heating works, quiet residential area, 10 minutes walk to beach crossing.
Cons: Hallways in the house look unkempt due to stained design goods and defective cabinets. Sauna in the house does not make a particularly inviting impression. Kitchen equipment in the apartment more than meagre with counted two cups, plates, little cutlery, only two water glasses and a wine glass. Even simple meals require several washing cycles daily in the oversized dishwasher or by hand. We have not experienced such poor facilities in any holiday apartment for years. Lighting overall uncomfortable or nonexistent (desk in a dark corner, but without light).

Unacceptable

From the outside a lovely accommodation, a normal check in is unfortunately not possible. After several unsuccessful phone calls to the main hotel Mimosa that the e. Key box is the 3rd from above. The room was supposed to be ready by 3 p.m., but it wasn't just before 5 p.m. After another respectful phone call, not a word of explanation or apology. The service staff was very hard and fast, however I don't think 1 room is ready cleaned in 5 minutes and ready for new guests
However, contact and treatment by the non-local reception remains unacceptable

Nice but very unkempt

It's actually a cute house with rooms/apartments, but unfortunately no normal check-in, instead you get a code with which you can open a small locker containing the keys for the house and room.
You actually get this information by text message or email, but if you forget it, you're stuck.
The front door is very difficult to open because it's stuck and right in the entrance area you come across a large broken cupboard. Everything is "actually" nice, but totally shabby and very worn.
The room was cute at first glance, but very dusty and full of cobwebs and also very worn.
Unfortunately only half of the lights worked, both in the room and in the bathroom, where only 2 of the 6 spotlights worked!
Unfortunately everything seems very "deliberately chic" but just not done well.
