Fabulous wedding at Schlosshotel Wiesenthau
I got married here a couple of weeks ago and it was a fabulous day and evening.
Everything went like clockwork, I wouldn't have done anything differently.
They have an official, state-sanctioned room on site where we could do the registry office part (the local major took care of that) and walk straight into the next room where the champagne reception and finger-food was waiting. From there everything sailed on casually to coffee and cake where we also had plenty of time to fit in photos before dinner started.
The food was amazing. The staff were very competent and helpful even if we were a chaotic mixture of nationalities ;).

Not recommended
Unprofessional! Alleging defamation if one addresses the desolate facility and criticizes the inadequate service. Also, the heaters are not designed for cold temperatures. Breakfast was like at Hotel Garni, sausage and cheese

Definitely not again
We were there for a murder mystery dinner. The complex is beautiful with plenty of parking.
The meal consisted of a 3-course menu. The soup was very good. The main course was a matter of taste. The chicken was very oily. And the dessert was ready-made and inedible.
The service was good at first, but guests who want to pay have to wait a very long 40 minutes before they can hand over their euros. This is particularly annoying at night, as only one waitress is allowed to take the money.
So, unfortunately, definitely not a recommendation.

Weird but passable
Stayed one night with my wife moving between Christmas markets of Bamberg and Nuernberg - arrived at 9:30pm to an empty reception and a key left out for us, it took some hunting to find our room. Plenty of space with a seating area and beds, while the TV and WiFi service were modern, there was a somewhat decrepit small kitchen space behind a curtain with an empty fridge with a strange smell. We kept the fridge closed and the curtain joined across.
Beds were comfortable and the room was warm and quiet. We came down to breakfast the next day to find the breakfast room empty. We eventually found someone who started laying the buffet out - the assumption had been that were part of a large group that had said they would be down an hour later, so the staff assumed they had some time...
Essentially worth the stay, good value for money, just make sure they know who you are and when you are coming. And don't open the fridge.

Perfekte Hochzeit im Schloss Wiesenthau!
Hallo, Wir haben im September 2022 unsere Hochzeit mit 160 Gästen im Schloss Wiesenthau gefeiert! Es war unglaublich! Uns wurden einfach alle Wünsche erfüllt! Das Essen war einfach perfekt- ein 4 Gänge Menü für 160 Leute gesetzt am Tisch serviert! Immer alle Tische haben gleichzeitig das Essen warm bekommen! Und es war einfach nur exzellent (und wir sind anspruchsvoll :D 1/2 waren Franzosen ;))! Anschließend haben wir bis 7:00 Uhr morgen gefeiert!!!! Das Serviceteam war sooooo nett und witzig! Wir wurden von so vielen Gästen angesprochen, dass Sie noch nie so nettes Personal erlebt haben! Wirklich tausend Dank euch!
Es ist einfach eine unglaublich schöne Location (egal ob im Sommer oder im Winter- wir waren zb auch bereits zum Empfang drinnen weil es ein sehr kaltes Wochenende war, aber auch im Sommer ist der Garten sonst ein Traum). Wir werden jetzt 4 Wochen nach der Hochzeit noch von allen unseren Gästen angesprochen was für eine unglaubliche Feier es war! Die Familie Weber und Ihr Team macht diese Location einfach zu etwas ganz Wunderbarem! Sie erfüllen alle Wünsche und sind immer auch im Vorfeld und an dem Abend für einen da! Also zögert nicht und feiert auch eure Hochzeit in diesem Schloss! Wir sagen euch Ihr werdet es nicht bereuen! Und auch die Hotelzimmer sind sauber und ordentlich ;) Liebe Grüße Quentin und Kristin :)
