Enjoyed our stay but with a heatwave and a hotel with no air conditioning it was horrendous we managed to buy the last two fans in the town so room was a bit better but we were staying six days so spent a lot of time in place with air con to cool down, staff were very good friendly and professional A big thank you to them.

Well suited for a short stay

Stayed here during our cycling trip on the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path. The bike path is about 800 meters from the hotel. It is a tall tower, with few rooms per floor. It is a house from the 1970s and not beautiful at all. We were allowed to store our bikes in the reception area. Room good size, bathroom very small, with a small shower and high entry. Had a good dinner in the restaurant in the evening. The entire staff is very well trained and extremely friendly. Pool and sauna are fine. Breakfast on the top floor with a view over the entire city. The hotel is located in the city park, providing a beautiful environment.

Acceptable hotel for 1-2 nights

The hotel is a touch too expensive for a place like Witten and the services offered. Positive are the spacious (though a bit ramshackle and quite old-fashioned) rooms, the cleanliness and the friendly staff. The breakfast included in the price is shown on the bill with 20 euros, which is now really not worth it. It is perfectly fine and makes good steps towards sustainability, but it is not particularly rich. Also in the restaurant the staff are very friendly, but the food is unfortunately not very good for my personal taste. But there are large portions, and it is just my taste. The central location convinces: The hotel is close to the train station and right next to an event venue. It has swimming pool and sauna - the former is currently not accessible, second we did not use.

Old but proven

Certainly an ageing facility. Unfortunately, the surrounding area also witnesses the urban decline of small towns. This is where the solos would be appropriate. Probably in the house already renovated rooms, but still had an old one in 80s style because we wanted to check in before 3. The rooms are spacious and pleasingly cut, the beds and mattresses certainly not as old as the decor. A family-run private operator can hardly afford to invest to the maximum here. But little by little it would be great. Not much choice in Witten. The location is great with 10 min to the city and the view from the 8 floor great. Breakfast in the rooftop with terrace in summer. We didn't go to the spa.

Good price level of performance and very friendly staff.
For a few nights completely ok.

The personnel is incredible!!!
Very helpful, the location is excellent and the restaurant is a good choice to have dinner
