Good night sleep in Alta

Very cozy hotel, attentive stuff, clean, good breakfast and great view over fjorden.

One of the best hotels

At 4:00 PM on the day of arrival, check-in is done entirely online; the code to open the entrance door and the room number arrive by email.
Spacious room with a large TV, very comfortable bed, and large bathroom; decor done with very beautiful taste.
Varied breakfast with a stunning view.
Free parking behind the property in front of the restaurant, where I recommend eating; nice atmosphere, very kind staff, honest prices.
For check-out, you simply leave the key in the door and leave.
Tea and coffee available at all hours of the day and night in the guest lounge, with small tables and chairs.
Excellent value for money, for us it was one of the best hotels in 10 days of vacation..

Basically a B&B. Location nice. Rest disappointing

Basically a B&B. Restaurant not open as we heard upon arrival. Luxury room with bacony was disappointing. Flat roof and room temperature 25 degrees, even with cenral heating turned off. Windows did not open. Curtains not blocking midnight sun. Survived by keeping main door open at night (facing busy street).
Breakfast sort of OK.

Disappointing

There were 26 degrees in the room when we arrived, no AC and neither the possibility to open the window... I don't know with others, but we can't sleep when it's so hot.
The curtains had “stopper” which made it impossible for us to close them all over the windows.
The bed linen felt like sandpaper.
There was also no TV, and just a chair in the room, becoming a little stupid if a person has to stand. When we checked the hotel's website again, we found out that the standard rooms had a TV and two chairs? We paid for the most expensive room and then I think you should be able to expect the same facilities as in the standard rooms... It was indeed a nice room looking messy, but lack of comfort and facilities make it bad.
When we sent a message to the hotel and explained what we were dissatisfied with and that we were so dissatisfied that we had decided to leave and that we would like to get refunded at least some of what we paid, we only got the answer: We're sorry you won't be staying with us.

Nice, sleek hotel with great views

Nice little hotel with great views of the fjord. The rooms are very cozy and comfortably furnished and have a great size and a comfortable bed, only one cupboard/shelf was missing. There was no room service, but we were asked at breakfast if we needed anything like fresh towels etc. Quite enough for us. Check in/out totally uncomplicated. Good restaurant and bar on the ground floor. Mega view from the breakfast room/restaurant. Breakfast was not sumptuous, but there was something for everyone. In the common room there was tea and coffee, free and available 24/7. This also had a great view and round windows at the end. The staff was always very friendly. Two bus stops nearby. Free parking is available. Good value for money. We felt very comfortable:-)
