This is the best hotel in Bergen when combining the price, location and the cleanliness of the hotel. All the main things to do and hikes in Bergen are walkable distance away. The tram from the airport takes you to only 5min walk from the hotel. The view to Fløyen from the breakfast room is amazing.

Dirty and poor hygiene

The room was very dirty, both in the room itself and in the bathroom. It smelled nasty and there were hybel rabbits in several places.
There were marks on the walls for something that resembled liquid. These went to wash away, and I ended up doing this myself. The bed was scared up, but both dirty and with unpleasant smell. Several of the pillows were taken on the wrong side.
Overall, the room appeared poorly cleaned and poorly hygienic. This is not a place I would recommend or stay again.

Great location right near the centre and waterfront area.
Our room had a lot of noise from outside ventilation and a bit of a strange smell and no view.
Bathroom fine, bed comfortable and great breakfast.

Mixed overall experience

The location is excellent, with direct access to the Fish Market. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was fresh and tasty.
Unfortunately, a few issues significantly affected our stay.
Breakfast was very crowded, with only two coffee machines available. There were long queues every morning, and when one machine stopped working, I waited around 15 minutes for a simple black coffee. We also had to wait for a table one morning.
The biggest issue was that housekeeping accidentally threw away our laundry bag. After initially suggesting we might have misplaced it, the hotel later found it in a garbage container. We were first told we would have to pay for shipping to get it back, but after we complained, they agreed to cover the cost. No compensation or goodwill gesture was offered for the inconvenience.
We also registered our parking at check-in but never received the promised parking discount. I’m not sure whether this was the hotel’s responsibility or the parking company’s.
