January 1, 2026, we are on a motorcycle to reach the Northern Cape. The temperature of -40° forces us to stop 150 km from the North Cape. By the greatest chance. We stop in the closed hotel today first day of the year. One phone call and Joachim comes to open us to let us access three bedrooms. He takes the time to find a garage for our motorcycles and even makes us food when we are the only guests of the hotel normally closed. The greatest quality of a business is the service and Joachim allowed us to find ourselves warm this evening first day of the year. Many thanks to you and certainly see you very soon when we pass in northern Norway.

Nice cozy hotel on our way to Nordkapp. Tidy rooms and ok breakfast. We enjoyed during our stay. Very kind and helpful receptionist!

Service, what is it?

Got a room that I found smelled mold. The receptionist was by the room and said it did not smell mold, it smelled u-fresht. She thought the smell could hang back from the previous guest. Had booked the room via agency and had to call the agency to get a room with better air. They arranged a better room for me, but this hotel will only be in need.

Very hot and expensive hotel, not good for wheelchair

We came to Lakselv on a hot summer day. And there were mosquitos comming into the open window. The room had no air condition and no refrigerator. So not possible to have cold drinks either. We didn’t sleep very well these two nights. And compared to the price, the breakfast was plain. My father is in a wheelchair, which the hotel is not build for. But the service personnel in the reception was very nice, and did their best to help.

Can not be recommended - worn, poor administrator(read description)sleep at Verdde instead! - the washes very nice then!

Were promised standard room for reduced price, as booked room was cancelled by the hotel. Still did not get the room, neither reduced price. Was given old, worn and incredibly warm hotel rooms - real. a microwave of a room, i.e. room on the second floor. The rooms were booked a year ago before the visit!
Breakfast is very sparing. Do not let me start on the expensive dinner! - eat either at the gas station or Mertha’s instead!
The laundry ladies are incredibly nice - and probably the best of the hotel. - but unfortunately do not make up for the mistakes of the rest of the hotel. Some at the front desk and at dinner are very nice too.
My recommendation, and what I'll do next time: Sleep at Verdde Hotel, Lakselv instead!
