Fantastic Hotel/Apartments
Fantastic hotel/apartments. Newly refurbished, staff are all excellent particular thanks to Elise and Kristian at reception and the breakfast chef, who made our stay perfect.
About a 10 min walk into town, depending how fast you walk, I had 2 kids in tow. quicker if you go diagonally across a car park, we had the spa included in our stay and the spa and pool are incredible, beautiful decor and pool really lovely and warm, we swam every day, a real bonus to this hotel. It was also a welcome break to relax in in the evening, drinks, robes, slippers etc are included at the spa. Shampoo, shower gel and conditioner in the spa showers too. The room showers have shampoo and shower gel in them (Ritual ones) Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, always willing to help, even though we had an apartment it was still serviced everyday which was lovely. I think it was great value for money, will definitely stay here again. We were just off season so the evening restaurant wasn’t open, but the breakfast included was superb. The chef was very accommodating and helpful.
There is complimentary hot chocolate and cookies at reception, winner with my children. We met a workmen in the lift who said he was working on floor 4 , we were on floor 1, if we had not seen him we would be totally unaware of the refurbishment, which is very nearly finished now. Very clean hotel great facilities & staff, there’s a port to book taxis on if needed, also plenty of parking at the hotel if you have a vehicle.

Nice atmosphere and breakfast with a view
The entrance was not easy to find, but once found we had a lovely stay.
We experienced a warm welcome and had a breakfast with the best view in the world. Good value for money deal and highly recommended for next time.

Room was great, spacious and a great bathroom & shower. The breakfast was delicious & the staff were amazing. Good location & a short walk into the centre.

Undue dislodging, refuses to welcome customers who have already paid
We had booked a room at this hotel two weeks before our arrival. The same day, we were informed by message that due to a “technical problem”, we would be relocated to another hotel in the city.
The replacement hotel was ok, but did not offer a gym or spa, unlike the hotel originally booked. To “compensate” the inconvenience, the hotel offered us access to its spa... located 22 minutes from our new hotel. Suffice to say that we have never been there. This situation forced us to pay for outdoor spas, generating additional costs.
We were also assured that we would have a superior room. In fact, the room was equivalent in size or even smaller than the one originally booked.
Another problem: the replacement hotel was cheaper than the one we had booked, but no refund, even partial, was offered. Worse still, the allegedly full hotel actually had availability for our entire stay. We still do not understand why the establishment refused to welcome us.
A very disappointing experience, with services not in line with the original booking and no real compensation for the damage suffered. We do not recommend.

Shortly before your arrival, an unforeseen technical issue required the immediate closure of your originally assigned room for safety reasons. This was an operational necessity and not a refusal to accommodate your booking. In response, we arranged alternative accommodation in a higher room category at no additional cost, including breakfast, and extended complimentary access to our spa along with a discount on massages as a gesture of goodwill.
We understand that relocating can be inconvenient. The distance between the two hotels is approximately a 20-minute walk, which many guests find manageable when exploring Tromsø, though we recognize that individual preferences may differ.
Regarding spa access, complimentary use of our spa facilities was available throughout your stay. Any additional spa visits elsewhere in the city were entirely optional.
While availability shown online does not always account for real-time technical or safety-related constraints, guest safety remains our highest priority. We believe the situation was handled responsibly and with care, and that meaningful efforts were made to minimize any impact on your experience.
