Mangonui - hotel experience

What a perfect spot to spend a couple of days. The old style hotel rooms are clean and comfortable, staff very friendly especially Aurora. The view from my veranda bedroom was amazing - well worth the so reasonable rates. Local seafood so good!

Used to go there A lot but now we go yo Taipa
Better prices more things on spin the wheel weds and joker draw kareoke Great nights no dramas great bar staff and people
I feel yhat mangonui has over priced its drinks so much we and other people we know wont go back until they look at This

Rudest bar person ever

Popped into this old hotel for a drink only to be served by the rudest person ever. She never engaged with us at all and in fact spent the entire time talking to her offsider, whilst serving us. We returned the glasses to the bar upon leaving and received no acknowledgement, she was too busy still talking, even though we were right in front of her. Nothing wrong with the pub, just don't go for the service.

The oldest pub in Mangonui……..

A fabulous and nostalgic place to visit for a cold beer, one of the real old school kiwi pubs that has everything whether it’s a pub lunch, a gamble on the pokies or a bet on the horses. Look out for a warm welcome from the live in house wildlife. Enjoy……..

Genuine kiwi pub

We stopped in for a drink and enjoyed the atmosphere. It is what I would call a genuine kiwi pub, something out of the past, which is a good thing. Pigs heads, crayfish etc on the walls etc all add to the ambience. Well worth a visit.
