Awesome Meals

Excellent Pub and Restaurant. Always Great Food ! I come here all the time with My Teenage Boys. Nice courtyard area. Good atmosphere, Awesome friendly Staff. Lots of Locals come here for a drink and a snack or a feed after out Mountain Biking too.

Not a pleasant experience.

We went for lunch as we had been told the food, service and atmosphere was great. However, our experience was anything but. The food was poor, the quality of service was minimal, we will not be going back.

Backpackers on a budget

Good location. 5 minutes by car from town centre. Breakfast was included which included toast & jam and scone. Milk was provided for tea and coffee. Nice kitchen and other amenities such as ping pong table, pool table and dart board. Wi-fi was good. Parking was free but is limited.

All right, too bad they're allowed to smoke.

Great food and nice service. Hostel itself you can taste the old style. Slept well in private room with shower and double bed. Cooking is possible, refrigerators available. Always wash your dishes yourself (if not fee NZ$ 20).
Too bad that in the courtyard are smoked msg by the backpackers. Smoke lingers under the roofs.

Clean, and nice backpacker. It is near the city so really convenient. Also it was helpful that parking was free.
