Sunset Accommodation - Friendly, Functional & Oh, so Sweet

After completing an amazing two days’ trip, experiencing the Abel Tasman National Park, we were ready to start our trip to New Zealand’s Western Coast in the Southern Island.
Our destination was Westport, located on the western coast. A long distance and a challenging drive to be completed in a day.
Luckily, my travel partner, Daniel, is a skilled driver who managed to complete this route in a day, having just a few stops along the way.
We arrived in Westport in the late afternoon, getting ready to settle for the night, before continuing our trip.
We were excited to find “Sunset Accommodation” to be an ideal location for us.
Cheryl, the hostess, greeted us, two Senior Travelers, with a big smile, leading us to a two beautiful, well appointed units facing West towards Tasman Sea.
She did her best and went out of her way to make us feel at home. An extra bonus were all the goodies and small gifts she showered us with.
Both units were spotless, functional and answered all our needs.
What a splendid way to start our trip along New Zealand’s Western Coast.
Should your itinerary includes New Zealand Southern Island, do not miss the opportunity to spend the night at “Sunset Accommodation” located nearby Westport.

A quiet place to relax

A lovely two-night stopover that could have easily been longer. Gracious hostess, clean unit, only a little traffic noise, close enough to attractions while distant enough to unwind. Lovely complimentary breakfast, renewed daily when towels are refreshed.
I'll be recommending this one to others!

Quiet and relaxing

We have stayed here twice now and both times have found our cabin spotless and comfortable. It has a country setting and is quiet and peaceful. We booked the accessible cabin and it fully met our mobility needs. A night's stay includes the makings for a light breakfast. The host is very friendly and helpful.

Superb stay

We received a really friendly welcome on arrival.
Our cabin was fantastically spacious and well appointed with fridge, hot plate, microwave oven, cooking equipment, crockery, cutlery, breakfast items, hairdryer, Wi-Fi, comfortable sofa, large bed, shower room/toilet, plenty of towels and toiletries, nice seating area outside. The cabins are thoughtfully spaced for privacy and located away from the road so it was wonderfully quiet. The cabins are surrounded by pleasantly planted/landscaped garden areas.
A great location for Westport and Foulwind.
Cheryl and Bill were helpful and friendly and made us feel like valued guests.
I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone needing to stay in this area.

Conforable room, massive breakfast

We only stayed for one night. Room was conforable, property was really lovel with great view of the ocean, breakfast was massive (maybe a bit too much!) and the host absolutely lovely. She made us feel at home. Good communication priori to arrival.
