Amazing week in Cerro Punta
I cannot say enough about this place. Just stayed 8 nights and wished I had booked longer. From the moment I arrived I was treated like a VIP. Patricia on reception is an absolute star and cannot do enough for you. The rest of the staff too are super helpful and you really are treated like a guest by all. It is a family run place that practices what it preaches. A lot of the food is homegrown, they make a lot of their own power and you can just relax amid the beautiful gardens with hummingbirds flying around your head. It's stunning. The rooms are clean, the food is great and they can organise treks for you or just give you great advice if you want to go it alone. You would be foolish to pass up this place.the local waterfalls trek and Finca Dracula I can recommend ! I also stayed one night in one of lodges up at 2200m in the rainforest. It was an incredible experience. I will be going back.

Los Quetzales Ecolodge in Cerro Punta is truly a magical place ✨
We spent a couple of days here with family and friends, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely surrounded by nature, peace, and fresh mountain air . The lodge is beautifully integrated into the landscape, with lush gardens, forest views, and a deeply relaxing atmosphere.
It’s important to know that some cabins are located inside the national park, which means you’ll need a car and your own food. This is a rustic, wild-nature travel style, perfect for those who love authenticity and simplicity. Be prepared for cool temperatures and occasional rain ️, though we were lucky and had mostly good weather.
There are many trails in the area, ideal for exploring waterfalls, forests, and untouched nature. The lodge can also organize guided hikes and special retreats inside the national park, including hiking, yoga, and massages ♀️.
We were lucky to enjoy an extra activity in a nearby canyon and waterfall, and it was honestly one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve had in my six years of traveling around the world .
They also offer SPA experiences, including mud treatments, hot tubs, body and facial massages ♀️, which are perfect after a day of hiking.
The rooms are cozy and comfortable ️, ideal for cool Cerro Punta nights, and everything feels thoughtfully designed with sustainability in mind. Waking up to birds singing and greenery all around was pure bliss.
The restaurant is excellent ️, serving delicious organic food made with fresh local ingredients, and the strawberries are especially amazing . The staff is kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming , which makes the whole experience even more special.
This is truly the kind of place where you slow down, disconnect, and fully enjoy the moment .
Perfect for nature lovers, couples, families, or anyone looking for calm, beauty, and authenticity .

What a fantastic time we had here! We stayed here in July 2026 with two families and children aged 6 to 9. From the first moment we felt incredibly welcome.
The accommodation is beautiful and the lounge is a lovely place to relax. The children enjoyed themselves there for hours. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming and always willing to think along.
Owner Carlos is rightly the great force behind this place. With great passion he talks about the accommodation and the surroundings and he really does everything to make your stay unforgettable. For our last night we were even allowed to stay in one of his accommodations in Cotito. Everything was perfectly arranged: transport, excursions and even the groceries. We didn't have to think about anything.
We look back on our stay with great pleasure!

The Atmosphere of this Hotel is Intoxicatingly Magic and Inviting!
I LOVE this hotel! The second floor has these cozy lounge areas with wooden bookcases full of fantastic books, with fireplaces (which up in the mountains of Cerra Punta is a welcome comfort). Also, there are beautiful wooden ping-poing tables, fooz ball, and very nice chess and checker sets, lots of art everywhere. Several velvet coaches and other very comfy seating. All the while soft classical and jazz music. Wonderful Food! And the staff are so warm and professional. The atmosphere is so magical and inviting!
