The best hotel in Colón.
From the moment you arrive at the parking lot, the experience feels like it is not in Colón. Everything at the highest level, kindness and attentiveness 10/10. I do not know of an experience at this level in Colón… without a doubt, I would return.

Private luxury, surrounded by the Caribbean
Ordovician Beach Resort was one of the most special stays I’ve had in Panama. The location is honestly beautiful — right on the Caribbean Sea in Isla Grande, near Portobelo, with the ocean in front and all this lush tropical vegetation behind it. It feels private, peaceful, and very connected to nature.
The resort has a very upscale boutique feeling without feeling too formal. One of my favorite parts was definitely the overwater suites. They reminded me a little of the Maldives, but with a more intimate Caribbean personality. I also loved the white and blue design around the property, which gave me a fresh Santorini feeling while still feeling very true to Panama.
The private beach, ocean views, food, service, and relaxed atmosphere made the whole experience feel elevated and easy to enjoy. It is a great place for a romantic getaway, a special celebration, or a quiet luxury escape on the Caribbean coast of Panama.
Overall, Ordovician feels like a private Caribbean resort with beautiful design, nature, overwater suites, and a sense of calm that is hard to find. Definitely one of the most unique hotels in Colón and one of the most memorable places to stay in Panama.

For a luxury boutique resort in Panama, the experience felt very worthwhile. The private beach, oceanfront location, overwater suites, food, service, and peaceful atmosphere made the stay feel special from beginning to end.
Cleanliness
Everything felt very clean and well cared for, from the room to the restaurants, pool, beach areas, and common spaces.
Noise level
Very peaceful. The resort felt private and quiet, with mostly the sound of the Caribbean Sea and nature around you.
Amenities
The amenities were beautiful and easy to enjoy: private beach, pool, oceanfront spaces, overwater suites, wellness areas, restaurants, cocktails, and relaxing spots surrounded by tropical vegetation.

This resort is one of those special places you find that redefines a vacation. It is about a 15 minute boat ride from the dock, occupying the back side of Isla Grande and looking out to the Caribbean Sea. We were there during low season in July, and were fortunate enough to be one of just a few visitors staying at the time. The wonderful staff contributed to this being one of our most cherished travel destinations. Ricardo, Jose and Daniel at the restaurants were so incredibly warm and welcoming, in addition to Tiffany and Marcella in the office, and we quickly felt a part of their community. We enjoyed meeting the owners of the resort who introduced themselves over dinner and we’re also incredibly kind and friendly. Overall, the food was delicious, the rooms were clean and spacious, and our boys (10&12) love the games area and resort facilities. We would highly recommend!

The owners, Rick and Loan, could not be nicer. They had advice for us on what to see and do during our time in Panama which proved very helpful. The staff, particularly Juan, David and Ricardo, were excellent - attentive and friendly.
We rented a car from the airport in Panama City and drove ourselves to other side of the country. While not many miles, it will take you over two hours. I would suggest getting full insurance if you get a rental car since the roads on the Caribbean side of the country can be a bit "interesting" with large, unexpected potholes. However, upon arrival to the resort's secured parking area, their boat was waiting for us to take us to Isle Grande. What a way to arrive - we felt so special!
I was initially concerned about being at a remote resort and having to eat only what was available. Boy, was I wrong! The food was excellent - some of the best we encountered during our three-week holiday throughout Peru and Panama.
The room was quite nice and the view of the Caribbean Sea awesome. While we are not "water sports" people, the resort offered many options for those who do like being in the sea. We were content with the pool.
An unique stay. I wish the resort were more convenient - we would definitely return - but I guess its location off the beaten path makes it the attractive place it is.

An unforgettable experience.
It is one of the most beautiful experiences we have had. Ordivician is a place characterized not only by its stunning and paradisiacal landscapes and spectacular facilities, but also by the affection that the staff shows towards the guests at all times, which is evident in every detail and service.
