Nice and quiet

It's a nice place very close of the beach. The staff are super friendly. There is a surf school on the premise and a nice spot to chill. There is a restaurant too. The price is good and the room was comfy

Was OK ish

Great kitchen, great location, excellent communal areas., room was big and as described and location was superb. Only problem was lack of availability of staff. There was never anyone there and nothing was ever cleaned or replenished in shared bathrooms. I still enjoyed my stay

MY WEEKEND HOME

Best, affordable way to escape the city on the weekends. My husband and I go almost every weekend. We can take our own food and use the kitchen OR buy yummy food at the onsite bar and sandwich shop or at another restaurant less than 100 meters away. The AC makes the rooms cool for good sleeping. It is always clean! There are plenty of common area places to relax and/or socialize. The locals are very friendly. Good swimming and surfing. Popote Wave Spot (the best surf school around) is on site. The property manager is very efficient and ALWAYS HAPPY! He responds quickly to requests and will sing/whistle while he works. I’ve been to many places in Panama and Panama Beach Lodge is MY FAVORITE!

Nice, friendly, home-like vibe

The place is about a 1 minute walk to the beach, you can even hear the waves crash when the tide is high enough. Everything is clean, the staff is friendly, there is a small restaurant, a board rental place, and multiple nice places to chill around the property.
This hostel is literally a house, I loved it and anyone who prefers a warm friendly place over a fancy hotel would absolutely love this place as well. We did have an issue with the online booking but they compensated us adequately and the stay was lovely. Will come back!

Gastfreundschaft nach panamaischer Art!

Wir haben einen der Mitarbeiter in einem Hostel einen Tag vor der Anreise in der Nähe von San Carlos kennengelernt. Zufälligerweise hatten wir zu dem Zeitpunkt schon überlegt das Hostel zu buchen, weil es direkt neben dem Strand liegt, an dem man gut surfen können soll. Er bot uns an uns kostenlos an dem anderen Hostel abzuholen und hat uns auch Mal während unseres Aufenthaltes in das Stadtzentrum gefahren. Wir haben klasse Tipps zum Reisen bekommen und wurden herzlich aufgenommen. Man kann sich auch an den Früchten aus dem Garten des Hostels bedienen (Mangos, Papayas und Mamuns). Das Hostel ist sehr sauber, es gibt Möglichkeiten zum kochen und die ganze Anlage ist sehr schön dekoriert. Auf dem Grundstück befindet sich auch ein Surfshop, in dem man alles was man zum surfen braucht ausleihen kann. Der Strand ist keine 10 Meter vom Hostel entfernt.
Was am meisten bei uns hängen geblieben ist, sind die herzensguten Seelen, die in dem Hostel arbeiten und sich auch sozial für ihre Region engagieren.
