Great time, great staff!

We had a great time at Flying Dog Cusco, the room we had was lovely, clean and comfortable.
Cesar, James and another lady were lovely to us whenever we asked questions at the front desk and were always willing to help us!

exactly what i needed for my trip

i had a really good stay here, the staff were kind and quick to help with tour pickups and questions. the location made it easy to walk to some awesome spots in Cusco. the room was simple but clean, and the common areas felt relaxed. a comfortable and reliable place to rest btw long days of exploring

Awesome hostel and staff. MUst stay here.

I have stayed in Flying Dog hostel in Lima, Arequipa, Cusco. This is the best of all. It's clean, comfortable and well maintained. The staff esp. Cesar Sotomayor and his assistant Angihe are super efficient, friendly, helpful and they may our stay very comfortable. We stayed 6 nights here. With the great staff we feel so much at home. Even the cleaners are helpful and friendly.
We will come back again in future. I strongly recommended this place to all travellers.

Amazing time at the flying dog cusco!

My brother and I stayed at the flying dog cusco for a week. The highlight of our stay were our hosts, Ricky and Ceasar. Those dudes were the best. Always there to help us out with anything we needed, always full of info about the area, and always able to sort out whatever tours we needed. Those two made our time in Cusco! They were super helpful and understanding, spoke enough English to understand us gringos, and really made sure we felt informed, safe and that we were getting the most out of out trip. Best hostels hosts we’ve had hands down!!!
If you boys read this, love you guys, and thanks for everything.

Not as advertised

Not as advertised. Definitely different from my experience at the flying dog in Arequipa
Firstly, the hostel staff are very nice. Another positive is that it provides a free breakfast that will curb morning hunger before heading out for a real breakfast.
Please note that there are NO lockers even though they advertise having lockers - it's actually just a shelf. The showers are lukewarm at best and the broken window in it provides for a miserable experience. The dorm rooms are situated right beside the common room and bathroom, so you hear everything! You'll also have to navigate a ridiculous staircase that is near impossible with backpacker bags. The internet cuts out all the time, so even trying to escape by finding a new hostel proved a challenge. 
They also had workers right outside my room, which was probably a fluke, but not great to experience.
They are also the only hostel I've seen that charges to store your bags during a tour. 
There reality is that for what you pay, there are better options. Honestly, I found several private rooms with a private bathroom and breakfast for the same price.
So many better options.
