Terrible

Terrible experience. Hotel at the the end of a non-asphalted stinky dead-end street. Inside it's more or less the same. Non-renovated rooms fixed with tape, if broken. Dubious cleanlinness. Where did they find their three stars ? Nobody knows. Breakfast (if I can say so) is so bad you want to leave. The people who have this hotel don't know what tourism is.

Horrible hotel

I went to huancayo on June 27th with the ferro carril train and got to huancayo around 8:30.I called the day before reserving my rooms.When I got there they said that I had never made a reservation. I argued with the woman in charge but nothing done. I was so pissed off my head wanted to explode because all the hotels where full.. LUCKILY i found another place that was a house hotel called " casa hospejade montenegro" it was way better then the hotel and half the price. it had wifi, hot water, and TV. The building and the owner were nice people. I couldn't have stayed at a better place! We will definitely be going back to that hotel when we visit again.

Hotel Blub

We were in Huancayo 3 days for a wedding and a baptism in early February 2014. I classify the hotel as "basic" - pleasant staff - the hotel is definitely run down - the rooms are decent (for Peru) but need very much an upgrade, particularly the carpeting. The buffet breakfast was okay, nothing fancy, but fresh local fruit and dishes.

We were on a business trip. The hotel was ok. I would not recommend staying more than a night. I'm sure you could find better options in the area. A bit impersonal, rooms need an upgrade, but you are in the middle of nowhere after all...
A good choice if you are transiting from a village to another. Surprisingly good Wi-fi connection.

Basic

Five story hotel, four blocks away from the Main Square. A bit away, but with some nice features that made my stay:
--wifi in the rooms--which worked perfect
--sauna on premises
--decent size rooms with matrimonial bed, cable TV and phones
--early check in because they had available rooms
--pleasant staff
--broad view of not such a nice neighboorhood, but concentratre on the expansive valley
--elevator
--about $30 x night
They should improve:
--rooms and carpets need an upgrade. The hotel is run down.
--hot water takes some time to warm up
--lousy breakfast (included) and really slow service
--just one towel
--no hangers in closet
My first stay in Huancayo. There are other, centrally located hotels, but have no idea of the prices or quality.
