Exceptional beyond means
I genuinely cannot say enough wonderful things about my stay here. This was so much more than just a place to stay. It became one of the most memorable parts of my entire time in Peru.
From the beginning, Jorge, the owner, and his nephew Mauricio treated me with such incredible kindness and hospitality. They arranged my airport pickup and drop off, which made traveling to and from Ollantaytambo so much easier and took away so much of the stress of figuring out transportation on my own. As a solo traveler, having someone there to pick me up and knowing my transportation was taken care of made me feel incredibly safe and looked after from the very beginning.
Mauricio especially went above and beyond throughout my entire time in Ollantaytambo. He provided me with so much help, advice, and recommendations for things to do around town and made sure I was able to experience so much more than I ever would have discovered on my own.
My favourite day was the Sacred Valley tour, which included visiting incredible places such as the salt mines of Maras, Moray, and Chinchero. Mauricio knew so much about the history, culture, and landscapes of the Sacred Valley and took the time to explain everything along the way. His knowledge and connection to the area made the experience feel so much more meaningful than simply visiting the different sites. I felt like I was actually learning about the places I was seeing and understanding more about the culture and history behind them. I also got to visit alpacas and llamas where I could pet and feed them. It was honestly the perfect day!
What stood out most to me was that Mauricio’s kindness didn’t end when I checked out. Even while I was staying at another hotel, he continued to help me. When I got lost trying to find my next accommodation, Mauricio helped me find my way. When I left for the two day Inca Trail, Jorge and Mauricio allowed me to leave my luggage with them and personally made sure it was delivered to my next hotel while I was away. That level of care was completely unexpected and meant so much to me.
After I returned from the Inca Trail, when I wasn’t even staying at their hotel anymore, Mauricio took the time to bring me to visit one of the local communities outside Ollantaytambo. He brought me to his grandmother’s home, showed me her beautiful garden, and gave me the opportunity to see how local people live and experience a side of Peru that I never could have experienced simply as a tourist. Being welcomed into his family’s world like that was incredibly special to me. It was such a genuine act of kindness that he absolutely did not have to do, and it is something I will always remember.
Jorge and Mauricio went above and beyond every expectation I could possibly have had. I never felt like I was simply another guest at a hotel. I genuinely felt like I was being welcomed and looked after like family. As a solo traveler, that feeling was especially meaningful. I felt completely safe in Ollantaytambo knowing that if I ever got lost, needed advice, or needed help with anything, Mauricio was close by and genuinely willing to help me.
Out of everywhere I stayed during my trip, this was absolutely my favourite, not simply because of the accommodation itself, but because of the people and the way they made me feel.
Ollantaytambo is already such a magical place, but Jorge and Mauricio’s kindness, generosity, and genuine hospitality made my experience there even more beautiful. These are the kinds of experiences and people you remember long after a trip is over.
If you are coming to Ollantaytambo, I could not recommend staying here enough. You aren’t just booking a room. You’re being welcomed by people who genuinely care about their guests and want you to experience the beauty of their home and culture.

Jorge and Mauricio maintain the property beautifully and are incredibly receptive to feedback. We had a wonderfully peaceful and quiet stay. They even helped arrange our taxi rides to and from Cusco. This is a highly trustworthy place with fantastic hosts—we would love to come back!

Highly recommend. Jorge and the others were fantastic hosts. The room was quiet, clean and so comfortable that I had such a good nights sleep. The breakfast is amazing as well! Wish I could have stayed longer. Definitely book this spot if you’re visiting.

Delightful guest house perfect for any trip
Room: Our beds were extremely comfortable, clean, and had an amazing view of the archeological site! The central outdoor area is also so beautiful.
Location: It's close enough to everything you want to see and do, but far away that most of the noise is blocked out.
Service: Incredible! Breakfast in the morning. Attentive staff who gave excellent advice and recommendations. They organized a taxi for us to Cusco after a long day and made everything so easy. A major highlight of the trip for us was our Sacred Valley tour with Mauricio. I would highly recommend taking a tour with Mauricio. He was so knowledgeable, funny, and a great driver. I would absolutely take another one of his tours.

Charming stay in special town
We had such a wonderful stay at Parwa! It was the perfect place to spend the night in Ollantaytambo after visiting Machu Picchu. The town itself is incredibly charming, and Parwa fits beautifully into its atmosphere, with a lovely courtyard and a peaceful, welcoming feel.
Our rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, but what really made our stay memorable was Mauricio. He was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, and his genuine thoughtfulness really touched us. He went above and beyond.
I’m so glad we chose to stay in Ollantaytambo and in particular, Parwa made it an especially memorable part of our time in the Sacred Valley. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, comfortable, and charming place to stay.
