Perfect for families

El Albergue was the perfect home base for our family as we explored the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu.
Communication from the hotel was great and they handed all arrangements for us. It was amazing to have our 2A circuit tickets in hand for Machu Picchu months in advance with zero stress!
The property itself is an oasis - and you don’t even notice the hubbub and noise from the train station. We especially loved the pachamanca experience, coffee from Cafe Mayu, and walks into town on a peaceful, Inca-built trail. We only wish we’d brought home more bags of their coffee!
The staff was incredible too - Wendy and Joaquin have built a truly magical place.

Perfect location snd beautifull gardens

The hotel was a true oasis next to a crowded, touristy street. Once you stepped through the door, everything became peaceful, relaxing, and quiet. The gardens were absolutely beautiful, and it was so much fun to explore the farm and grounds. We spotted hummingbirds and enjoyed relaxing there before heading to Machu Picchu.
The location is excellent, and the staff created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We had dinner at the restaurant and were very happy with both the food and the service. We would happily stay here again.

Hotel to be avoided

Terrible experience. This hotel is located right next to the train station, and it is incredibly noisy. Every time a train arrives or departs, the noise is unbearable. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Loved our stay at El Albergue

Wonderful experience at El Albergue for our family and our girls loved the food at the restaurant. It was the perfect location to visit Machu Picchu next to the train station, and El Albergue helped arrange our Machu Picchu visit with guide as well.
