Friendly hotel located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We are ideally situated for treks on the Inca Trail, and visits to Machu Ollantaytambo, Pisac and Las Salineras salt mines. Lovely peaceful surroundings, with tranquil gardens. Nestled among the eucalyptus trees, away from the main road, in the foothills of the Cordillera Urubamba. We aim to create a relaxed atmosphere, serving good quality home cooking in our restaurant using fresh, local produce. Featuring a garden and 24-hour front desk assistance, La Capilla Lodge offers yoga, quechua and ceramic lessons, as well as massage sessions in Urubamba. The bus station is 2 km away and free Wi-Fi is available. The rooms in La Capilla Lodge feature private bathrooms. Guests at La Capilla Lodge can enjoy live music and barbecue meals every last Sunday of the month. There is a game room and laundry services can be arranged. Plaza de Armas square is 2,5 km away and Ollantaytambo archaeological site is 18 km away. Free public parking is possible at a location nearby. Based on local tax laws, Peruvian citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Peru) must pay an additional fee of 18%. To be exempt from this 18% additional fee (IVA), a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. Please note both documents are required for fee exemption. Guests who are not able to present both documents will be required to pay the fee. Foreign business travellers who require a printed invoice, will also be charged the additional 18% regardless of the length of their stay in Peru. A wondrous place to recoup after travel excursions

La Capilla is a beautiful haven. There is a lovely garden patio to rest after traveling throughout the day. The rooms are clean, bright and have very comfortable beds. The breakfasts are delightful consisting of fresh local food. The owner provides a level of service that surpasses any expectation. She is readily available and willing to help in any way for a smooth and enjoyable traveling experience.

This space has a lot of potential, the space is really nice but the administration/owner is a desaster and the host in charge is not helpfull either. The owner is not a truthful person, any offer or agreement she makes is not reliable, not a responsible person and even calls people lyer. We got there and had to clean the space, it had dust from like 3 years ago even in the head of the bed, the carpet was disgusting and she said we dirty it (in day 2 she blamed us from making the carpet and emergecy barthroom disgusting, a type of dirty that is imposible to achieve in that time). Theres no hot water capacity for groups, nor for more than 10 minutes a day. Most times hot water never came, i got to shower once in 5 days with hot water. Breakfast was crap: Empty bread with jam and sometimes butter, the other option was one piece of fruit per person, if asked for more it was denied. When asked for toilet paper the host denied it too. No free water for dinking, not even in breakfast.
The dogs around wont let me sleep. The bed was ok. The garden is nice. Would be nicer if chairs had coushions to sit, but not.
Oh and dont even dare to do laundry there, even if she says its better than in town! Its a lye. The clothes comes out dirtier than when it was dirty.
I loved the lavanda bush in the garden, it helped me clean the energy in my room wich was freaking heavy.
I left before time. Even It was all paid.

Peaceful Oasis in frenetic Urubamba

From the outside, you could never guess the Haven of calm that awaits you once you pass through the gate. The garden is stunning. The owner is focused on true sustainability in every aspect,from composting to growing many of the foods served in the restaurant. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and most importantly- comfortable. All the water is heated through solar panels, so there is an initial wait followed by copious quantities of hot water.

Bad price-performance ratio

We are travelling for month in southamerica and really think that the price-performance ratio is not really good here. Nice, but quite small garden with nice dogs. Far away from the center. Breakfast was average - nothing special. Free water was nice.

A wonderful hostess in an idyllic guest house

We arrived tired after many hours of travelling to Peru without our rucksacks which staying in Bogota! Gloria the owner could not have been more helpful. She took us to the market to buy night wear etc and was so helpful in trying to help track down our luggage.
The beds were so comfortable, breakfast fresh and tasty and filing.we spent one evening at the cosy bar drinking the most delicious watermelon martinis and were looked after impeccab.
Thank you to the whole family there.
