Small gem in Ollantaytambo, and excellent starting point for an inca trail hike

Small gem of a hotel that we kind of stumbled upon. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very authentic interior, and everything is well kept. Fantastic location in Ollantaytambo. Excellent breakfast. Rooms are nice and clean, and great value. This is a great place to acclimatize to altitude before going on classic inca trail hike. They all start from Ollantaytambo, so you get to sleep two more hours, by staying here rather than in Cusco.

A wonderful time in the amazing Sacred Valley

Everything about Sauce was wonderful. The staff were particularly helpful arranging tours at the last minute and making sure we were comfortable during our stay. We highly recommend Sauce to anyone staying in the wonderful town of Ollantaytambo and the Sacred Valley.

Right in the center of town, we got up in the morning (they actually packed up aTakeaway breakfast for us) and walked four blocks to the train.
They were actually very helpful the next day when it turned out, our agent had not planned for our return to Cusco so we got back to the hotel and they called a friend who got us a taxi. We were pretty tired. They went above and beyond. I’d recommend this place to anybody going to MP

Absolutely great experience!

The hotel and the place were an absolute positive surprise. We would have liked to stay longer.
We were warmly welcomed and everything was very cozy and welcoming.
The shower was hot, the bathroom large and equipped with ecological, packaging-free products.
We could sit by the fireplace in the evening, which was great.
Breakfast was delicious and water is offered free of charge.
Great was also the free excursion. There are different options and we had agreed on this in advance. It all worked out well and the guide was really good and we got a good impression of the really very special place.
Absolutely unexpected. We would have liked to stay one night longer.

What an absolutely delightful property this is. The location could not be more convenient, the decor was charming and extremely welcoming as was the staff.
