Excellent stay at Hotel Europa. Very comfortable hotel - modern, clean and spacious room, with great bed and mattress. Perfect location - short walk to rail station and very close to the best parts of the old town. Wonderful breakfast selection.

Good location in the old town area. Room was quite large and breakfast was very good. Check-in closes at 8pm (strange). Our train was delayed so we knew we wouldn’t be there before 8pm. I called head of time and they arranged to have our room key put in a lock box at the front door. Certainly there is no staff in sight after 8pm. There is no A/C in the room and even in May it was pretty stuffy (I did notice a fan in the closet though).

Pleasant hotel in the city center

A pleasant hotel in the pedestrian zone of Görlitz. There are a few parking spaces in the courtyard, but the access is very narrow and the space is cramped. I had a single room, which offered enough space. No noise from outside could be heard through the double windows. I would have liked a bottle of water, but there is a small fridge. The bathrooms are quite modern. The breakfast is very good for a hotel of this category. A generous selection of cold cuts, unfortunately only one type of cheese from a packet, but this could perhaps be compensated for. There is fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, cereal... Unfortunately, the juice machine didn't work, which was a shame. Overall, a recommendable hotel, even if a price of just under €90 for one person is not cheap. The parking space costs another €8. I would have liked more personal attention, which is something a small hotel can usually score points for. We were given a friendly welcome, but no questions about our plans in Görlitz, perhaps a recommendation for dinner or the organ concert on Sunday.
