Dreadful extremely rude staff. Tiny underground cell without a window. Worse than a prison. Avoid.
In over forty years of travelling and having stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the world, this was just about the worst I can remember.
Pictures of this place show windows looking out onto fabulous views of the city. This is why I chose it. In fact the 'windows' are wall posters. The rooms are tiny, windowless and claustrophobic in an underground basement. I had received no instructions as to how to gain entry to the property. With the help of a local who phoned the management I was eventually directed to a nearby address where I was to open a box to get the key. There was no key. I phoned the management who told me the cleaner must have the key and I should wait. Fifteen minutes later the rudest woman I have ever met opened the door turned around and went back inside. I followed her down some stairs where there were five tiny rooms (cells) each with posters on one wall of a panoramic view. I would never sleep in such a tiny windowless room and I left.
The owners of this property deliberately mislead customers with fake windows. Their description says that the rooms are on the ground floor. They are not. They are in a basement.
I telephoned the management of the property to tell them that I would not be staying at their dungeon but they did not answer the phone. Instead they sent a text asking what I wanted. I then texted tht I would not be staying and received a reply telling me where to find the key and wishing me a nice stay!
I then found a superb alternative spacious apartment very nearby at a similar price with private sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and where the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
