Pleasant stay next to the Malbork Castle

Not sure why the bad reviews here, I found this hotel perfect for our 1 night visit - we came here naturally to see the famous Malbork Castle, and for that it worked perfectly as it's literally 5 to 10 minutes easy and pleasant stroll away along the river from the hotel.
The room was big and spacious, we even had a huge patio/balcony - came handy after a long drive to sit down in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine. The WiFi worked grout, bed was comfy and shower spacious, nothing to flaw here. In the morning some kid running around the hallway was a bity noisy so I must say, i was a bit surprised that the noise wasn't "cancelled" out better - don't know if it's the doors or the "thin walls" - that would be my only flaw, otherwise I didn't hear anything else
The biggest bonus here, is probably the free and easy parking and of course the amazing breakfast - probably the nicest quality selection I have seen ever - the cheese selection itself was worth a cheese night type of setup :D
If in the area I would totally return for the evening relaxation and the morning breakfast - worth every penny!

Big spacious rooms with comfortable bed, clean towels, excellent breakfast with huge variety of choice, cold and hot options. Will definitely come back.

Very nice setting hotel was quiet and rooms very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was especially good with so many choices it was hard to choose.

Disappointment with food

Restaurant where we went, after seeing Malbork Castle, seemed like one thing, but then it turned out to be quite another.
To give you an idea, here is the menu we were given:
First: Watered soup (literally ) with a few pieces of carrot and spaghetti. The soup didn't taste like anything, it was just spaghetti water. A lot of people left him, because a glass of water, he was better.
Second: They gave us meat, I think typical of Poland with beets and a kind of gnocchi. This time, I was fine.
Dessert: It was an apple pie with an ice cream ball. It was some kind of German struddel.
As you can see, the first one didn't even try hard, already in the second one, they worked it a little more.
