Hotel Murowanica
The Murowanica hotel will be located right at the entrance to the upper trail. Beautiful surroundings, you can see the mountains and the forest. We checked in after 8 p.m. and were welcomed by a very nice receptionist on April 28. We got a room on the 3rd floor, 302, with 2 single beds, but they could be joined together. The room is clean, there is a kitchen and everything needed for a long stay. The mattresses are very comfortable, there are 2 TVs in the room. We had to go downstairs for breakfast, but it's not a problem because the taste of the breakfast is amazing, the lady serving the restaurant was also very nice, she came up to us and told us where everything was, and she was very smiling. Overall, we are very satisfied. We will definitely choose your hotel for our next trips to Zakopane, and we plan to come back a few times. Best regards.

STAY AWAY!
Upon arrival ( 19.08.2026) checked in to be given a different room to what I had booked. Went to reception to query it and was made to feel as tho we had done something awful. I had booked a deluxe double with a balcony and mountain view. We were put on the ground floor with a terrace and 100% no mountain view from anywhere. All we can see is other apartments and trees. We were told that a room with a balcony would be free in 2 days time ( last day of our break!) We booked weeks ago not last minute . We had no option than to stay where we were. In the apartment, went to put some clothes away and saw dirt on shelves. Looked over whole apartment and the place was filthy dirty! Went back to reception to complain and they sent a cleaner around who barely touched the place ...we ended up having to clean it ourselves!! There were dirty bowls in the cupboard. Broken bits of furniture, stains all over carpet, broken mirror in bathroom. Really awful apartment. This really upset me. I have NEVER had to clean a hotel before you move in to the room ! We complained to booking com who took ages to sort anything out. The outcome ...we could get a 100% refund if we up and left straight away ( 9.30 pm!) Or 2 days refund if we left next day. Zakopane is all booked up ..no rooms we have to stay put. ( i have activities booked) all I can say is STAY AWAY from Hotel Murowanika, they make it sound and look good but the truth is very different. They lie to you ! We logged an official complaint on headed paper, took photos and emailed it all. This hotel is horrific I will never ever recommend it.

When the booking was made it stated 'Deluxe Double apartment with a balcony and a Mountain View'
We were given a ground floor apartment that opens into the rear garden and there isn't a mountain to be seen from anywhere in the garden, let alone from the room.
When we walked in there was a distinctive foul aroma.
We went to query the room with the receptionist, who is a proper snotty little madam, she basically said all the other rooms are booked until Friday and then told us the description of the room we booked was incorrect! So falsely advertised.
I then went back to the room and inspected it for cleanliness, the surfaces and cupboards were literally covered in a film of dust...so I went and complained...the bolshy little madam tried to refuse to come and look for herself which I didn't let her get away with, she then got a cleaner in and I let her wipe everything down, she left and I checked again..still filthy...so I cleaned it myself!!
I can honestly say, in all the hotels around the world I have stayed in, I have never had to clean a room myself...including the two previous Polish hotels before this one in Gdansk and Wroclaw!
Absolutely fuming with the attitude of the madam on reception!
I don't know what standard the other reviewers hold themselves too to give this hotel such good reviews ..but personally, from initial impressions...it is substandard in my book!
A formal complaint has been made and one has been put to Booking.com as well.

Great place to stay in Zakopane
We've been coming to Zakopane for many years but have never found quite the right place for our needs. Until now. With its proximity to Kużnice, from where many great treks start, clean and comfortable with a swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, Hotel Murowanice fit the bill. On top of that very helpful staff, many of whom speak good English. They advised us on different routes to trek as well as restaurants in town. All of which proved successful. We had an apartment with a large bedroom and a separate living room area with kitchen and a very large balcony. All very reasonably priced. We'll definitely stay there on our next trip to Zakopane.

Highly recomended
Super place. Nice,modern clean with very friendly staff. Sauna, swimming pool(life guard present all the time) and jacuzzi all include in the price. Facilities were superb. Kitchen got all you need in self catering apartment. All cookwear,clean towels, paper towels, washing up liquid. Bathrobs and slippers and soap in the bathroom. Great location for a day hike in Tatra mountains, 20min walk to zakopane Town center. Bus stop outside the hotel. My room was courtyard, very green lots of trees and a mountain street next to the hotel, very relaxing, on the balcony table, chairs and a sunlounger. Breakfast was a buffet but you Could order eggs. Definitely will stay there next time. Highly recommended.
